#1 If you wish to understand the importance of Tallinn, examine it's location relative to the Russian port of St. Petersburg on the Baltic.

If additional evidence is needed, examine recent events in Crimea and the Syrian port of Tartus.

#3 Tallinn is a wonderful town with a great history...not all of it related to their bear neighbor.
If you are into intrigue, google the sinking of the ferry Estonia, in which the entire Swedish investigatory team was lost. Tale full of conspiracies not resolved even until this day.
