#1 Bahrain is where all the ex-US servicemen in ARAMCO went to visit the PX in the 50s thru 60s (I left in 70). Also, good booze. IIRC, 5th Fleet is there.

I say 'good booze' as in commercial liquor. We had booze in the camps. After all, we had 100s of petro engineers building cracking towers & refineries, so a simple copper still was easy. Shitty because they had to use a sugar base.
