#1 The "axis of resistance weasels" refers to the Middle East's anti-Western powers: Iran, Syria and the armed groups, Hizbollah and Hamas
FIFY. Iraq was formerly included in the list. Looks like it might get to be crunch time.

#2 "Not allow Assad to fall" > IMO, ditto as per ISRAEL despite any PCorrect rhetoric to the contrary.
Despite its histor mil conflicts wid Israel, Syria is considered the most neutral or "isolationist" of the major Arab League states - its not MilPol-agressive as former UAE-era Egypt[Nasser, Sadat], ideo randy as the KSA, or now as per Islamist Iran.
IFF ASSAD COLLAPSES, IT MAY PROVE TO BE FAR MORE DANGEROUS TO ISRAEL than having the anti-Israel Muslim Brotherhood, etal. Radicals in charge of post-Mubarak EGYPT, as THE POSSIBILITY IS REAL THAT ISRAEL + IDF MAY HAVE TO FIGHT A SIMULTANEOUS TWO- OR MULTIPLE-FRONT WAR, I.E. ISRAEL NO LONGER HAVING THE UNILATERAL OR ASYMMETRIC ABILITY TO CONCENTRATE ITS MILFORS AGZ ONE ENEMY AT A TIME WHILE WAGING TEMPORARY MILITARY "HOLDING ACTIONS" AGZ OTHER(S).
Think 1973's YOM KIPPUR WAR, only Bigger, wid more Primary Fronts at Israel's borders, Nuclearized Islam, + no Nixon or Reagan anymore to save or back Israel up.

#4 JM, yes I believe as you have commented. I look for things to get much worse. Perhaps even pulling Jordan into the mess.
