#1 This is very smart on the part of Ukraine, and it puts serious pressure on the Russian fleet. If they cannot return to Crimea, they have to travel a long way to get to another Russian naval port for anything.

#5 Be hard to do that with tons of Ukrainian troops. The Ukraine is NOT a relatively little defenseless nation, like Georgia - and it has a land based logistic tie to friendlies.
