There was no vetting by the MSM ever. So what we ended up with was a guy who couldn't run a one-person parade successfully.

#2 Note to D'Souza, the media is the enemy. They created the monster. They also bury and obstruct the truth. They are not the 'Free Press'. That is the technology of the times for the free flow of information. The media is an institution that lusts for power to impose its cultural will upon the population (not to be confused with the culture of the country which it loathes).
