#1 Despicable act? As opposed to sawing off heads of folks whose only crime was being a journalist?

Well, that should not warrant head removal but it's not entirely insignificant....

#3 The interview anjam chodery on cnn had a very candid moment. That the true believers consider reporters as spys, and that reporters seem to think that they are some sort of protected referee class. Neither one exists in the other one's world.

#4 Glenmore what do you figure these makeshift refineries are? Teapots on a trailer or some such?

#5 Could be 'drip gas' from a well, or very basic field expedient processing.

#6 More on oil field casing head or 'drip gas.'

#7 Doubt it's casinghead gas - that stuff is viciously explosive and if there was enough gathered together to matter our missile hits would've looked like MOABs. (See Ardmore, OK, 1915.)
As best I can tell, they are referring to portable mini-refineries, but I've never seen any. Teapots on a trailer would be a good description. If you're not too concerned with efficiency or quality control, fractional distillers (modified moonshine stills) are simple and reliable.

#8 I've never seen any either, that's what led me to drip gas. Yes, you might want to leave the Lucky Strikes in the truck......
