#2 ...That misbegotten nation is no longer worth a single American life. Having said that, today all I can think of is the ranting that went on a few years ago when the number of lost equalled the 9/11 casualties, and so many in the MSM screamed that we had to come home now...we were "even".

#5 For the US, Vietnam was a limited war in the context of a global cold war. Surrender thus had limited and calculable consequences for the US (not for South Vietnam.)

On 9/11 the US was challenged on her own territory by a massive attack on the scale of Pearl Harbor.

The consequences of losing the 9/11 war will be felt in North America.

The Egyptian president, a member of the MB, is openly strutting around in the US, lecturing and not so subtly threatening Americans like a Soviet chairman would have threatened a satellite nation.

A (former?) member of theocratic Iran's ruling class now a politically connected Imam in Dearborn in the US openly demands Sharia modifications to the US constitution. Ditto for a Hamas affiliated and politically connected Imam in NJ.

And there's no protest from America's political class. Instead the POTUS. in the UN, not so subtly threatens those who deviate from Islamic orthodoxy.

etc. etc.

Unthinkable a few years ago, the new normal in ~~Amerika~~ Amrika?
