#2 When I see crimes like this I think society caught one early. This guy is a psychopath and would have been a serial killer or a really bad gangbanger with a large bodycount if he hadn't gotten caught early.

#3 Think you are right; second story of an apartment building vs. puppy doesn't say 'Trouble dog was in my yard'.

I would ask if any streetlights and/or video cameras in the area keep getting shot out.
