#3 for context, the loss in the DJIndex over the 9 days ending yesterday was about 3%.

it closed yesterday at about 17,890 which is about where is was in Dec 2014

#4 Yes, over the length of the Obama administration, a steady rise. The 9 day downturn was I believe, something unusual.

Continued low interest gov't borrowing might account for the long-term rise.
