#1 On Thursday Dec. 14, San Francisco Fire Department reported that a swimmer was bitten on the arm by a sea lion in the waters off Aquatic Park Cove.

Could it have been the result of an unwanted advance ?

#2 Water is a little cold for swimming. Temperatures vary from about 50 F in January to about 61 F in September. Maybe the sea lions thought that the swimmers were polar bears. [Sorry. I will go to my room now]
