Seriously, if I recall correctly, the Zepplins of WW I and the 20s-30s had condensers of some sort in the exhaust systems to recover the water. The reason was to make up the weight lost by fuel consumption.

I'm curious to see if the ehxhaust water system winds up being widely used. It would be perfect for any mech/cav/armor/maintenance uint. For a HQ, just stick them on the 30kW gensets.

Getting potable water out in the field is not just a problem for desert deployments. I have memories of supply run screw ups at Ft. Stewart going thru my head, and the exhaust system described would have been useful for a mech unit like mine.

Adding on a water chiller for those hot days in coastal Geogia would just ice the cake!

#3 Think long term; if either of these ideas work - and if commercialized they could provide water for people living in desert areas - it'd be ironic if 100 years from now the Iraqi war was remembered mainly for the invention of water traps.....
