I hope optimism is warranted here. For better or worse, it looks like we'll take Syria first, then go for Iran later. If Damascus lost its patron and puppet-master, Assad would have little choice but to pull a Gaddafi-esque 180. Between Iran and N. Korea, I fear we're setting a precident of "Once you go nuclear, Uncle Sam sits on his hands and lets the diplomats jibber-jabber."
