#2 It probably means that they killed more talibs than could be spared to drag them off. Probably not a 50% csuality rate on the Tabliban side, since some will betake to their curly toed slippers and not bother with the extra weight...

To lose 30, 300, 3000 is inconsequential if our single loss causes us to fail. We owe it to the fallen to stand resolute in the face of evil.

Afghan soldiers, meanwhile, discovered some 60 gas masks, four mine detecting machines and other military equipment in Paktika province, said Defence Ministry spokesman Gen Mohammad Zahir Azimi. Gas masks? Isn't that a bit odd for Afghanistan? I wonder how old those articles are...
