#4 Good lord. I'm awfully glad Mr. Wife hasn't travelled in that part of the world for just about eleven years. We can only hope it was relatively painless and quick for the dead in all those crashes. And that the injured didn't have to spend too much time in Russian hospitals full of drug-resistant TB and unmasked, ungloved doctors.

#5 "Six people were trapped in the wreckage of the plane for about three hours before being freed," sounds like something that happened to American Airlines or Jet Blue just recently. Oh, that was due to air traffic control delays, and not a crash. sorry, my bad.
