I remember (another doctor) was there, and he said he couldn't find any testes on these people either. So I thought, 'OK, this is real.'

Applewhite and six members of the cult had been castrated in Mexico a few months earlier another way to deal with unwanted desires.

Too bad theres not some way to sell Muslim males on this idea.

Some final thoughts: Any remaining assets held by the cult should have been liquidated in order to provide post-traumatic stress counseling for any public services personnel exposed to this sort of insanity. Even the coroners.

It becomes increasingly difficult to feel any sympathy for people this incredibly stupid.

#6 I knew some bizarre practical joker individuals who make sport of kooks. As soon as the news announced the mass suicide, the first thing they did was to mirror the cults website.

Then, to their glee, they discovered that their Heaven's Gate answering machine was still connected.

Knowing that only the FBI was going to be hearing the messages, they phoned in a bunch of gags, like:

"Hey, you guys, you got the date wrong. We just figured out it is next week, not this week!"

"Mr Applewhite, this is Domino's Pizza. We were just calling to confirm that you wanted 39 pan pizzas delivered to your address."

"BWAHAHAHAHA! You FOOLS! Now I own your eternal souls!"

etc. I'm sure it was appreciated.
