Heh heh. Took me a while!

My junior high chemistry teacher told my class that there was a guy who discovered a compound but couldn't quite fathom its structure. He proposed the name C-nose. That name got rejected, so he proposed God-nose (a twist on God-knows!). Of course that got rejected, so he proposed the name that it is known by today, which is Vitamin C. I don't know if this story is true or not, but it's entertaining.

In any case, perhaps we could call this new stuff gaydonite? :-)
