#3 According to Wikipedia, and depending on the source, the US economy is at present almost as large (or slightly larger) than the entire European Union. The US economy is almost as large as China and Japan combined. For us to fall below any of those would imply a HUGE economic turndown in the US. And if the US economy gets a cold these days, the rest of the world gets pneumonia.
