#1 At least yesterday's WaPo gave the good news (violence down) with the bad. I expect now we'll see a flurry of 'analysis' predicting a return to mass violence after a short 'lull' unrelated to the surge.

#2 Three US soldiers were killed on Sunday in a suicide attack ... happened in Baquba, it said. It was not immediately clear if it was the same attack that Iraqi police reported in Baquba on Sunday, in which they said a roadside bomb targeting a US foot patrol killed at least three children, two of them siblings, and wounded seven people.

Seems the PakiWaki Times left out a crucial detail. I wonder why?
