#1 If Pakistan does nothing against those people, then their insistence that we end these strikes amounts to Pakistan giving them official protection. That then makes the government of Pakistan an accessory to their crimes in a very public way. I wonder why they would want to take that path unless what Patraeus is being told in private is completely different from what Pakistan is telling the public, which is fairly likely.
