#2 Interesting read, This author has a great deal of sympathy for American Muslims. His premise that outside influences, the soddies, and intimidating practices are keeping the American muslims from doing the right thing here. On that single note he is correct. What he let slide by is that intimidation and fear of violence is "THE" premise for all Islam. It claims to be a religion of peace until the 13 year old girl refuses to have sex and get married to a 70 year old man. Then the peace stops, she is doused in acid, her nose cut off, raped by her brothers and his friends and then thrown out into the desert to die. What we have in Islam, both radical and peaceful, is a cult of pain and death if your not willing to enslave yourself to the soddi way.
Rather than our American muslims being bullied by the soddi mulims what we have here is a cult that is call Islam and its cornerstone is fear and intimidation. Like all the other cults of hate and fear they take prey on the weak. They prey on those that are not strong enough to stand up for their rights. They are lured into Islam with all the peace be upon you crap and then once they are reeled in the craziness starts. Taking your daughters for old men, sex with young boys, sharia law, and on and on, show me a first world muslim state??? Nowhere in their world is there room for peaceful coexistence and equality with Christians, Jews, or Buddhists. Islam, all of it, is a virus on our earth, one that will not go away but with vigilance it can be kept under control and we must.

#3 Another point is that the Saudi government's Wahabbist building boom isn't limited to the West, it is a global undertaking. The petrodollars we send to the ME are being converted into an aggressive, relentless campaign to destroy alternative Islamic interpretations that are less hostile to Western Civilization.

#5 The real danger for the West is our commitment to freedom of religion which makes us so unwilling to see that Islam is a tyrannical political system masquerading as a religion. Strip away all the mumbo-jumbo and you find power/politics and violence at its core, using deceit, fear and intimidation as the tools of control and expansion. Our enshrinement of religion as a protected class of philosophies comes from the centuries of deal with the Church when it exhibited some of these traits centuries ago. We need to defrock the idea that Islam is a religion and above the kind of awareness and scrutiny it needs to stop its growth.

#6 He's too easily dismissing the Sharia threat.

In North America big institutions not associated with the "fringe right" whose core business is related to free expression decided to observe Sharia restrictions rather than exercise their free speech rights.

Yale, the MSM including Comedy Central do apparently believe that Sharia transgressions in the US will result in real punishment. For them, Sharia not the US Constitution is the de facto law of the land.

Demonstrating that there is a lot more to this man than merely a cleric.

The American public now sees the deception perpetrated by all these Islamic groups that claim they are against violence and terrorism and insist that their rights be respected but in reality are fronts for the Muslim Brotherhood.
