#5 Some of the same things are wrong with the UN that are wrong with our present Congress.

Has the UN done anything notable other than throw parties and provide a home for elitists from other countries. Our sovereignty and our welfare just don't with the UN's aims if you anyone articulate their aims. The UN is a big suck on our economy. Time to think about dumping support.

Ummm, yes, they provide a place to "Promote" our piss-poor, but powerful politicians, thus getting rid of the "Problem" without needing to resort to either Firing squads or assassins.

Just "Promote" them into oblivion.

#14 The UN does a lot of good, its just the lower level non foreign policy type stuff. When they get involved in peacekeeping, human rights or trying to stop an aggressor they do more harm than good.

I've long thought that US policy should be to promote Japan and India (and perhaps Brazil, Australia and South Africa) as Security Council Members under the premise that it dilutes any votes and forces China (and France and others who prize membership) to come out against these nations getting the vote to preserve their current level of power.

Yeah, and the revolving seat should be dumped as a stupid idea.
