#1 Repeat after me. Romney will *not* out raise or outspend Obama. And that's not even counting all the taxpayer money Obama is spending or the free media.

#2 Won't count the AVGAS and crew hours the Champ is burning on the 'Air Force One' fleet either.

#3 How would they compare if Superpac fundraising were added in?

He might.

I despise politicians. The only political contribution I've ever made was to the campaign of a Presidential candidate a couple of decades back who was a friend of the family. And that was "requested" at the last minute by a parent who was a couple hundred bucks short of having the funding in place for a bus trip they'd organized to the Iowa caucuses.

This time around I maxed my primary contribution to the Romney campaign and I'll again make the max allowable contribution for the general election. Add in down-ticket contributions and I'll easily surpass my lifetime political contributions by a factor of 100 during this cycle. And I'm far from the only politically inert person I know who's suddenly found themselves digging under the couch cushions for a few bucks to send Romney's way.

#6 Romney is the "not Obama" candidate. If dollars indicate votes, maybe Romney will make it. He's not the choice of conservatives but he is a significant improvement over what we've got in the whitehouse. His speech to the NACCP today speech was OK. Probably didn't win any converts. The audience was polite and occasionally applauded except when it came to the part about repealing ObamaCare. He was booed.

#7 People are beginning to see that Obama is a dictator-in-hiding, but in terms of money, Obama has the entire Middle East block to help with "campaign contributions" just like last time around. Only this time he has a plan to keep these illegal contributions better under the legal radar. And our votes will be computed in Venezuela rather than the USA. Still, if Romney can attain the presidency, we still have hope.

#8 JohnQC, any idea why Obamacare got special notice from the audience? Does it somehow help the black community or were they defensive about 'their guys' sole achievement.

I expect if he made converts at the NAACP they will be silent until the privacy ofvthe ballot box, or they will stay home election day. 98% is a powerful amount of peer pressure to overcome.

Few surprises here. Hat tip to Mitts for accepting.... had he not, of course he would have been labled a racist. An attack by Romney on the escalating Social Security Disability challenge, Affirmative Action, or Food Stamps would have illicited a similar response, possibly even worse. Sacred boodle cows and all that. Inviting a conservative candidate to speak at a black nationalist convention, then booing him. Very classy, very classy indeed.

Notice Champ didn't show up. They're in the bag as far as he's concerned, no need.

I heard Spain. I still cannot believe this legal. It's almost a cinch that Obama will get reelected. If by some miracle we kick this commie rat bastard to the curb, there needs to be some serious overhaul of our laws and election processes. And people, a lot of them, need to swing. Whatever it takes. It's for the children.
