File under: Palestinian Authority
#1 The UN recognizes something? Would you pay good money to be "recognized" by the UN? What does that get you exactly? A paper hat? A bag of peanuts to go with your cup of Sprite??
Its like the Palestinian flag. What have you got?
Back in 1967 there was a place on the map that was still real estate they could claim. But today? What they have left after you build roads through it and put up a barrier here and there and plus a lot of settlements that make their part of the map look like someone spilled some random salt on a very contiguous Israeli Place Mat?
Its already over. The future should be plain to see already. They can be sovereign over what they have left of tomorrow and the next day? They can't stop the settlements and they WILL continue...that's why they hate them so much. You can yell and scream and pass a resolution at the UN all you like, Ban Ki-moon doesn't have an army and the UN is a all pocket pool.
The Palestinians can't fight and they have no more future than the Sioux and the Cheyenne. Who lives all over Kansas? They might name the town Wichita, but its still not wearing a feather head dress and hunting the Buffalo.
There won't BE a Palestinian anywhere but in imagination in fifty years. And nobody is actually going to" give" them anything that really matters. The French are just gas and the Arabs are worthless as spit. And the Jews are going to take it all and give nothing back.
The UN? get real.

#2 That is an interesting comment. Don't particularly like Kansas and Palestine comparison. Kansas is a soveriegn state with a capital, a governor etc..., and with the exception of Douglas and Seward counties, Americans live in Kansas.

#3 Under international law, sovereign states are held responsible for controlling their territory and for actions originating thereon. They can declare war, and have war declared upon them, and be pounded into rubble if necessary.
