#8 At least when I was in Riyadh (mid 90s), Western women did not have to cover there hair. There weren't very many Western women there; but every once in a while you would see a bare head, and it was perfectly acceptable. Not for Saudi or third-world women--they had to wear the head covering, and Saudi women had to cover their faces as well; but the Western women could and did go bareheaded.
