#1 It's rigged. Been rigged. Institutional takeover. Big things attract the natural instinct to control that what you view as fundamental your security, economic or otherwise.

The Fed was rationalized as a means to control the 'busts' or depressions of the 19th century. How's that all worked out for you (two major depressions later)?
