#2 Got to keep the local wildlife from consuming the farm's live stock. The Amish, being very practical people, and guns have been acquainted for a long time.

#3 Much could be learned from these people. Possibly the first item to be learned is they're not actually Dutch at all, but are of thrifty, hard working German lineage. BTW, Wednesday is senior's half-price night at the Gasthof in Montgomery, IN.
