Depends. They're fighting Assad, so they're good.

But they're Islamists, and backed by Saudi Arabia, so they're bad. Double-bad.

Captives in metal cages used as shields, however, sounds more... Russian SOP. At least more Russian, than American.

So it's a wash. Take your pick.
