#3 Le Figaro reports at least 18 people dead. Only very cautious info about the explosions near Stade de France. They certainly want to avoid panic in the stadion. Hope evacuation will be smooth (match ends in 10 minutes)

#8 Le Figaro reports 30 people dead now. The major event seems to be the (ongoing) terror attack (what else?) in the Bataclan arts theater. Attackers have shot at the public with automatic guns, there is an ongoing hostage taking (about 100 people trapped) and shootings seem to go on.

#10 Europe 1 reports a new shooting in the Quartier des Halles in the very center of Paris. Looks like something very planned and organized.

One Bataclan attacker is reported to have shouted: "C'est pour la Syrie."

#18 Explosions also erupted at the Stade de France, the national stadium, where Germany and France were holding a soccer match, the Associated Press reports.

"It is a terrible trauma for France," Hollande, who had been at the stadium, said in a national TV address."Once again we are under attack."

He said the French military was being deployed around Paris after the unprecedented attacks.

Hollande also said, without elaborating that security forces were assaulting one of the sites hit by Friday’s attacks.

“It’s a horror,” he said.

"The terrorists want to scare us and instill fear," he said. "There are reasons to be afraid, but the nation knows how to defend itself and mobilize its forces and how to defeat the terrorists."

The death toll ranged as high as 60 in the French media.

This sort of language plays right into the 'terrorists' hands. Especially if it come from a supposed leader, like Hollande. He should be showing a calmness, a steely resolve, and a sense of outrage, not saying how 'horrified' he is by the actions of these murderous arseholes. He's not some helpless old granny watching a friend being roughed up by thugs.

'It's an despicable outrage that will be met with overwhelming force. We will hunt down the animals who have done this, and we will kill them. We will hunt down those who led and encouraged them, and we will kill them, too. We will not stop until all those who would commit these crimes against us know that, if they try, if they lift a finger against us, we will kill them too. We will kill them whever they are. We will not pay in innocent French blood for the madness and hatred of others.'

That would be a bit more inspiring than 'It's a horror'.
