It's not only 'falling for the lies.' A carefully recruited entitlement class will care little for the truth as long as the 'free stuff' continues. They are the true champions of socialism.

#3 Cockroach of ideologies. That is very descriptive and kind of poetic. However, the terms carpenter ants and termites would also apply. Both just keep gnawing away at the structure of things until it fails. Flesh-eating bacteria? Virus? Both also might kill the host.
