#1 Odd that they don't seem to be announcing their airstrikes in Iraq and Syria anymore... At least, no announcements have appeared for some time on the websites where I used to see them almost daily.

#2 I'm of the inclination that the ringmaster is directing attention to the ring in the right, because the lion-tamer in the middle ring is having problem with his beasts named Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, and the clowns in the left ring are too drunk to get out of the DNC-electoral-campaign clown car.
