Reading between the lines, I would say that they all knew they were screwed when Trump was elected and were trying to figure out how to blur the edges on what they had done and what kind of narrative to put out.

#10 My impression is that they have thrown their entire playbook at this mess and can't get any traction on alternate narratives.

Such is the bothersome nature of the Internet, if you said it, sent it by email, or posted it to a website, it will come back to bite you in the butt.

I think they are gone through the table of contents, the index, and the bibliography on their playbook. Given as how silent Cummings is these days and how completely obviously disingenuous Shiffless is, they are now at the squirrel stage, hoping for anything to throw out there to divert attention.

Hence, all of the colossal stupidity by the media over the Olympics and anything else they can find.

Porter is a victim of this. I know he's a serial spouse abuser, but were it not for the desperation of the media to find anything to throw out there, he would have never surfaced.

Have you noticed how the Russian Collusion narrative, Flynn and Porter suddenly don't seem to be in the news as much?

I have to hand it to you guys, my fellow Rantburgers, you called it. As soon as this Russian collusion/Trump dossier came up, a lot of us said that the Democrats will regret investigating it. With the Republicans in control of both houses, how on earth did they think the Republican chairs of the Intel committees would let this skate on by???

I don't know this. Has it been adjudicated in a court of law? Were any police reports or professional investigations filed? I have an ex-wife, who attempted to fake the same photos, etc, against me. Luckily I found out and it stopped.

He's been convicted and punished in the media, then his job. The mob moves on to Kelly, who was always the target. Who knew WhoTF Rob Porter was before this?
