#1 Of course the Russians found them -- they knew where it was all stored. They helped move them out of Iraq into Syria ahead of the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

#2 Jeez, Rob. Way to go blowing the Russian cover story off the whole Syrian 'experience'.

Often wondered if this wasn't the main reason the Russkies got involved (with both pro and anti-government entities) so early, basically to cover their circa 2002/3 tracks. They knew that eventually the real evidence would be uncovered.

Now they have scapegoats.
