#2 A friend was talking to me about his experience as a US Army Captain commanding mechanized infantry at Ft. Polk ("Heh. I memorized all of the logging roads in the maneuver area and was the only one not to have to call the Engineers to come dig my TOW-track out of the mud!")
Anyway, he talked about having all of those 'VD Awareness' Drill Days and the like that had to be crossed off every monthly calendar. The only thing was to have as many as possible checked off on a given day just to clear the paperwork so time could be allocated for Combat Drills. Bureaucrats, *Spit*.
