#1 ...Yeah, THAT was only about 15 years overdue. And expect the Usual Suspects to throw a hissy and drag this out another couple years while the birds deteriorate even further.

If SAC were still around we'd have had them in service PDQ.

#3 Kinda pricey at $28.3M each. The support package better last into the next century. UH-60M/S-70 is about $12M each to the Army and 50% more powerful, not to mention more damage resistant. Maybe the Italians are pricing in leather pilots' seats.
