#2 It appears they lasted longer than the group that went up against the Americans in Syria.

#3 In an intercepted telephone conversation, a Russian invader complains to his wife that even well-trained mercenaries cannot succeed in performing their tasks.

That is the issue. They weren't well trained. Oh they knew enough to keep some arab peasants beat down, but going against an actual trained army they fail. And fail spectacularly. Just ask the US Army.

#5  If the Wagner guys are tired, the regular guys are about dying to leave Ukraine. Wagner guys always get much better supplies and all, kinda like their ideological heroes in the Waffen SS did compared to regular Wermacht soldiers.

Wagner didn't go against American ground troops in Syria. They went against American air.

Big difference.

#7 They got hit by Apaches and artillery too. It was a group effort.

#8 Hopefully that battle is something the Russians won't hold against us, since Wagner's not part of the Official Russian Army.

#12 That is a lot of homophobia packed into one incoherent statement, Z. Usually a signal of one deep in the closet and a fear of their own desires being discovered. Something you want to talk about?

#13 Severodonetsk has fallen. According to this German General, the fall of the entire Donbas is now "a matter of days":

Die Einnahme des Donbass ist nur noch eine Frage von Tagen
31.05.2022
Von Lena Mosel

Russland hat seine Strategie im Ukraine-Krieg geändert. Laut des ehemaligen Generals Roland Kather hat die Einnahme des Donbass aktuell höchste Priorität. Der Militärexperte geht davon aus, dass die Russen sich mit der Eroberung der Region nicht zufriedengeben werden.

#14 DIE WELT: The British secret service says Russia may be getting bogged down in its strong focus on Luhansk and thereby losing control of other areas. Do you think that's wishful thinking?

General Kather: I would shy away from questioning secret services here, but my assessment is different. I think we are dealing with a very clear tactic here: first of all, getting the Donbass under control, but then making the preparations for how things are to go from there. And I assume that everything will then be done to firmly establish the land connection to Crimea, to establish the land connection via Mariupol and the other port cities...

#16 Herr General is correct. Securing Crimea -- absolutely and totally -- is the goal, in support of which all the port cities and the land bridge must be under complete Russian control.

#17 Thanks Dale. You couldn't have been more clear the past couple weeks on where you stand.
