#1 I always thought it translated as “dog pile me, and please beat me into an unconscious state until the plane ride is over.” It has been a while since I heard that phrase locally … for some reason.

#2 ^ That's exactly what it means. In some places it can also translate as a plea to be put out of one's misery with a tire iron and have locals do a jig later.
