American, Saudi mediators announce new ceasefire agreement in Sudan

#1 I'm not sure what the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) led in the main by African tribal Muslims hopes to accomplish in Jiddah. In Africa's Sahil, Saudi Arabia has consistently supported Africa's so-called Arabs (with their phoney geneologies) when they have been confronted by African tribal Muslims. I suppose that the Saudis intend to buy off the RSF, but this time they may not succeed.

Get the Americans out of their. The State Department has screwed up since the day Ambassador Anderson claimed after the Islamists took over in June 1989, 'we can work with these people.' He was followed by CIA fugups who closed down operations, and by Susan Rice, who refused the Sudanese offer to turn over Osama Bin Laden. In later years the Dept of State tried to keep the Sudan Humpty Dumpty togethr, and the creation of South Sudan is more a testiment to their demand for freedom than anything that happened in Foggy Bottom. Washington agonized when Israeli pilots destroyed Iranian bases in Sudan. Then there was the hand wringing as Durfur descended into chaos. Now as Darfur seeks independence from Khartoum the State Department wants to play a role to fug everything up. Par for the course.
