#2 The Poor? Minimal trust if any and any residual patriotism their immigrant grandparents had for leaving a worse hellhole is fading away. The Rich? *Snicker* The Rich hardly trust each other and noblesse oblige is a distant memory.

The Middle Class is getting screwed badly and they are losing faith in the 'American Dream'. Ask where the falling trust is ...the Middle Class.

#3 Back in medieval times, noblesse oblige meant you did what the sovereign asked/told/voluntold or you lost your lands, wealth, and title.

Sorta like what is going on today.

#5 My experience has been that in order to trust anyone, or institution, or organization... you must first understand their purpose or motivation. From that perspective you may be able to determine what you can believe and what you must ignore.
