#2 Thanks, Fred. It's been a trip. Didn't have her dying so soon on my life's dance card.

Still, she'd be freaking out about right now, given the world's slow motion train wreck, which she had noticed headed this way long before me . . . They say God sometimes takes people to spare them 🤔

Better me dealing with the temporal parting, rather than her. She paid her dues.

Please know she adored you and this site. I know her posting dried up after the baby came in 2007, but she was ever peeking in as she could.

#3 I’m so sorry, cingold. I adored ex-lib, and always read her comments carefully. Is there somewhere we could donate to in her memory, if anyone is so moved?

I did a quick search of the internet, and among the dross found this gold nugget from 2005:

Or is this as good as "highly educated" suicide bombers get? Wonder what you think. BTW, wasn't playing the "pity card" on the Islamofacists, just remembering all the reports of young, uneducated dumb-asses being set up, and of even educated dumb-asses being set up to suicide bomb unknowingly, by their "superiors."

#4 Thanks Trailing Wife. She really loved you too, her battle-buddy. I'd love any of her writing on Rantburg you could send my way. I've been scouring her computer to savor her words, and need more of her sharp retorts, LOL.

FYI, she got perma-banned on Twitter (@IngoldIsrael, after which she ran with @OfProtocols). I finally got @IngoldIsrael unbanned posthumously during the "Elon pardons." Post 10-7-2023, it was briefly resuspended (hey, I was just posting what I knew she would have 🤣), but I relented and deleted the tweet . . .

Re donations . . . she loved Rabbi Tuly Weisz, and he seems the mensch (https://www.israel365.com) and does good, practical things.

Thank you for the blessings. I find great solace in the Almighty, Adonai melekh ha'olam of vengeance and mercy. Still, it is so much easier for me to assent to and say "Baruch Dayan ha'emet" than it is to actually live it out and truly mean it. Working on that.

Our tragedies will, I think, only make sense from the vantage point of eternity, when the Almighty wipes the tears off every face, and removes the shame of His people. Yeshayahu 25:8. His ways and thoughts are beyond our present comprehension. Yeshayahu 55:8-9.

But, I'm a pig 🐷 . . . I had forty years of her sweet company, and that was (for me) just an appetizer. No one could humble (or exalt) me like she could, and I'm pretty lost without her. Good thing she watches over and prays for me . . . as I need her help more than ever . . .

I warned her that if she ever died before me, I'd haunt her the rest of MY life. Keepin' my word, LOL

Glad to see Ex-Lib remembered. I wish I had a fraction of her ability to write.

She once almost caused a riot at CSU with a short letter to the editor (writing under pseudonym, since he'd banned her, LOL). It took someone from the English Department to tamp things down by pointing out the "Modest Proposal" (Jonathan Swift) type rhetoric employed.

She could make her points . . .

#12 Thanks Deacon Blues. From 2007 to now has been chock full of crazy; so, posting turned to peeking . . . But, peek we would, and you and the others we peeked in on let us know that at least part of the world was still sane 😀 You kept us grounded.

My most somber and sincere condolences on your loss. I had no idea the heart could break so deeply as when "flesh of my flesh" is torn asunder. If I hadn't found Lewis' "A Grief Observed," I don't think I'd have made it this far. I'm much less than half the man I used to be.

May God comfort us both 🕊
