#1 What killed the company was when the new owner sold all the real estate, and then made the stores lease their locations back. Death spiral from there.

#6  California workers are demanding $25 minimum wage.

If they raise the minimum wage to $100, then people will only need to work 1/4 as many hours which means employers will need to hire 4 times as many people. More money, more free time, and more jobs! Increased prosperity for everyone!

Unless, of course, they start replacing workers with robots who only need a smoke break when they are actually on fire.

#7 Look for those in danger of being automated out of their jobs to form a union. They will get laws passed requiring two warm bodies at $100/hr for each robot.

#12 Mrs Mundi n I got waylaid by a snowstorm in Flagstaff on our recent Rt 66 roadtrip. We Doordashed Red Lobster and loved the fish sandwich - glad we took the opportunity. Getting really tough out there for the chains.
