Rome Sends In Bully Boys To Bust Up A Northern League Banquet, Again
The Brown bear burgers and kebabs were part of the menu on offer at the rally held by the Northern League, key allies of Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian prime minister.

Armed officers stormed into the venue at Imer near Trento after they heard how 50kg of bear meat was due to be cooked. Hunting bear is banned in Italy and the meat had been imported from neighbouring Slovenia.

There was tension as the meat was seized from refrigerators with police saying that ''documentation'' was not in order and so the meat could not be eaten.

Furious members of the Northern League booed and jeered as the packets were collected and taken away and menus had the words bear scrawled out as the event continued.

Posters for the event had openly advertised the fact bear meat - which is seen as a delicacy in north east Italy - was on the menu and recipes have been handed down from generation to generation.

Enzo Erminio Boso, a Northern League senator, told the 200 strong crowd:''We have been told that he documentation is not in order to eat the bear meat and this is an order that has come direct from Rome.

''On Monday I will be calling Umberto Bossi (Northern League party leader) and telling him that we should leave the ruling coalition immediately. The paperwork is in order and this is an attempt to stop our traditions.''

In Italy bears are a protected species due to their dwindling numbers and the police intervention was welcomed by conservation groups.
This is likely an effort by some opponents of Berlusconi in the government to break up his coalition. The left in Rome has long hated the North, and tried to use it as a cash cow to feed southern socialism.

#2  "The left in Rome has long hated the North, and tried to use it as a cash cow to feed southern socialism."

Rewrite for America: "The left in D.C. has long hated the South and the Midwest, and tried to used them as a cash cow to feed northern socialism."

Gee, it works! :-(

The Dutch Put Their Foot Down Against Islamism
To be specific, here is what’s going down from Ede to Amsterdam legislatively:

The Dutch government is saying geen meer to multiculturalism because it has paved the way for the most amazing belief system ever to spawn parallel enclaves that hate the Dutch. Oops.

On June 16th Dutch Minister of the Interior Piet Hein Donner tabled to parliament the official doc that states that both the government and the people are overwhelmingly sick and tired of the relativistic slop and are gonna shift gears and laud Dutch culture from here on out, and if any immigrant doesn’t like it they can kiss their chocolate sprinkles.

In addition, the Dutch are not only refusing to play the nice game with zealots who loathe them but are also demanding obligatory integration to their norms, or you can say tot ziens to their windmills.

All immigrants will be required to learn Dutch, and the Dutch authorities will not be lax with those who blow off Dutch ways and laws - which entails no more funky, full-face headgear for a certain awesome religion’s ladies, as well as no recognition of said special religion’s courts or laws.

Also, the Dutch will not fund with exclusive monies the immigration of any group, especially those from the Religion of Calmness.

All of the above leads me to ask the following question of my fair readers in both the U.S. and abroad who are also experiencing, let’s say … challenges … with you-know-who: Have the Dutch gone crazy, or are they now where we infidels need to be?

#1  Geen meer = no more

Chocolate sprinkles go on buttered bread, as Americans do peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Tot ziens = see ya later, goodbye

#3  Let the seething begin! :-D

#4  The Muslims didn't invent seething but they certainly do have an almost monopoly on it. They started seething, what, 1700 years ago?

#5  Muslims have refined seething the closest yet to its pure form. Unfortunately for them, pure seething is like absolute zero. It can be approached but never attained. But it's nice to have a goal.

#6  They started seething, what, 1700 years ago?

I think they started seething around 1700 when they were turned away for the last time before Vienna. Up till then, they sort of just conquered places and people with some gains shifting back and forth for a while. After Vienna its been down hill and the seething began in earnest.

EU approves payment of loan installment to Greece
(KUNA) -- Finance Ministers of the 17-member Eurogroup Saturday night approved the disbursement of the fifth tranche of 12 billion euro to Greece from the 110 billion euro loan given by the EU and the International Monetary Fund last year.
We need a pic of Euros going down the drain...
The ministers said in a statement following their video conference that payment will be made by 15 July following approval by the IMF Board.

They welcomed the recent adoption by the Greek parliament of a new package of austerity measures which was a condition set by the EU and the IMF to release the next instalment.

"The Greek authorities provided a strong commitment to adhere to the agreed fiscal adjustment path and to the growth-enhancing structural reform agenda, which are essential components of our strategy to restore fiscal sustainability and safeguard financial stability," noted the statement.

It called on all political parties in Greece to support the programme's main objectives and key policy measures in order to ensure a rigorous and swift implementation.

The austerity measures including pay and pension cuts, tax increqse and privatisation of state companies are highly unpopular in Greece and have led to widespread demonstrations and strikes in the country.
