The term "latine" has gained popularity in recent weeks thanks in part to an article in Axios in which the author reportedly made up the term as an elaborate prank.
"Latinx is an outdated term, as everyone was making fun of us and giving us wedgies for using it," said Gender-Ethnic Studies Professor Edwina Skuzz, while holding a bag of frozen peas on her swollen eye socket. "Latine is the new official term for persons of Hispanic origin that will help you avoid offensive gendered language."
"Unfortunately, it will not help you avoid getting punched in the face."
"I dare you to call me 'Latine' one more time," said José Gonzales, a farmer in Ranco Encantada, as he pulled up his sleeves and prepared to punch our reporter in the face.
Critics are reportedly calling on the Latine people to "calm down," imploring them that violence is not the answer.
At publishing time, experts clarified that Leftists should probably stop talking to Hispanics altogether.

It makes me laugh all the time when the hispanics here in Texas are shocked at how well my wife speaks Spanish (She teaches it for a college, and to many a student's surprise when they learn she teaches SPANISH and not street Mexican:D, no easy A). She often points out to them that her family is Italian and that Spanish and Italian are dialects of Latin.

Considering that the bulk of hispanic types have no problem with and even prefer 'latino', what this is really about is, "the "elites" feel they have the authority to tell you how you should identify and feel about yourself.
Your own ideas don't even come into it.

[Breitbart] Alan Ritchson, the star of Amazon’s hit show, Reacher, claims to be "very disturbed" that police officers can get away with murdering people "all the time" and are never held accountable for it.
The 41-year-old actor cast his accusation about lawless police officers in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter last week in which he made a series of admissions of his extreme views.
The tough guy actor has revealed his anti-cop sentiment in the past, of course. He raised eyebrows in August of 2020 by wearing a t-shirt calling for the arrest of the Kentucky Police officers who shot Breonna Taylor in March of that year.
Ritchson spoke about the Taylor shooting to the Reporter, calling it a "tragic case. But he went on to attack all police officers everywhere.
"Cops get away with murder all the time, and the fact that we can’t really hold them accountable for their improprieties is disturbing to me," the star of a show that is said to be a favorite of conservatives and members of the military.
"We should completely reform the way that we do it," he said of police work.
"I mean, you shouldn’t have to spend more time getting an education as a hairstylist than as a cop who’s armed with a deadly weapon. We should make it very hard for people to make mistakes or abuse power in our institutions," he said.
The claim that hairdressers require a more stringent educational process than police officers is dubious. Potential police officers have to pass numerous mental health evaluations, in-person interviews, and a long list of other requirements before they are even considered for the job.
