Fresh clashes in El Fasher leave over 100 injured and 22 dead
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The corpse count from Friday’s festivities between the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese army, armed movements, and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has risen to 22, with over 110 injured, according to Ibrahim Abdallah Khater, General Director of Health in North Darfur State.

The majority of victims are women, children, and the elderly from El Fasher neighbourhoods and shelter centres. The South Hospital, a key medical facility serving five Darfur states, is overwhelmed with the influx of patients.

Despite operating around the clock with support from Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) and the state, the hospital faces a severe shortage of medicines and equipment due to transportation difficulties from Port Sudan. Approximately 80% of medical supplies are provided by international and national organizations.

Khater reported that the state’s health system is under immense strain. The specialized children’s hospital was rendered inoperable after being occupied and looted by the RSF. A temporary replacement in Babiker Nahar Center was also bombed. The teaching hospital is also caught in the crossfire between the army and RSF.

Only four hospitals—South Hospital, Saudi Hospital, Military Hospital, and Police Hospital—and some health centers remain operational in the state.

The United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reports that two weeks of festivities in El Fasher have resulted in 85 deaths and approximately 700 injuries. The city, a historical capital of the Darfur region, has been engulfed in escalating violence since May 10, raising international alarm for the safety of residents and displaced persons.

Britain
4 hurt, 1 arrested after Iranian regime supporters clash with opponents in London
[IsraelTimes] Police investigating if additional offenses committed after skirmishes outside event commemorating Raisi

British police say four people were hurt and one was arrested when supporters of Iran’s authorities clashed with anti-government protesters at a London event marking the death of President Ebrahim Raisi.

The Metropolitan Police force said officers were called Friday evening to "reports of disorder" at a venue in the west London area of Wembley, where an event was being held to mark Raisi’s death in a helicopter crash. Protesters had gathered outside the venue and festivities broke out, police said.

The force said one person was arrested on suspicion of violent mostly peaceful disorder. Four people were treated by paramedics for injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Police ordered those gathered to disperse and said Saturday that detectives would examine social media footage and other evidence to see whether more offenses had been committed.

Footage from the scene posted on X shows an argument breaking out between pro-regime men and regime opponents, and one of the men from the pro-regime group is seen yelling curses at the dissidents. Then, a group of men is seen running at and pushing away men holding the flag of the Pahlavi dynasty, which ruled Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. prior to the Islamic Revolution of 1979. Afterward, a skirmish ensues, and the man who had cursed in the beginning of the footage is seen kicking the woman filming after she had fallen to the ground.

Raisi, a pillar of Iran’s hard-line Islamic regime, died alongside the country’s foreign minister and six others in a crash in the country’s mountainous northwest on Sunday. He was interred Thursday at Iran’s holiest Shiite shrine.

Some Iranian expatriates have welcomed Raisi’s death. London is home to a large Iranian community, most of whom left in the years since the country’s Islamic revolution in 1979.

UK police arrest 16 anti-Israel protesters at ‘violent’ sit-in at Oxford University
[IsraelTimes] Suspects held for aggravated trespassing; Jewish groups on campus report ‘overwhelming surge in antisemitism’ that ‘has only increased in recent weeks’

British police said they arrested 16 people on suspicion of aggravated trespass at the University of Oxford on Thursday after pro-Paleostinian protesters held a sit-in against Israel at the university vice-chancellor’s office.

The Oxford Action for Paleostine group (OA4P) said university authorities called the police after students began their protest at administration offices, as has happened at other campuses in Britannia, the United States and elsewhere during the conflict in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. between Israel and Hamas
..always the voice of sweet reason...
"Officers attended Wellington Square at Oxford University, at around 8 a.m. this morning following reports that protesters had gained access to a private office within one of the buildings," Thames Valley Police said in a statement.

One of the 16 people arrested was also arrested on suspicion of common assault, police said. No arrests were made at separate protests nearby and elsewhere in the city.

"This was not a peaceful sit-in, but a violent mostly peaceful action that included forcibly overpowering the receptionist," the university said in a statement. "It is clear that a faction of students and faculty claiming to represent OA4P have not been interested in dialogue in good faith," it added.

Footage posted on social media by OA4P showed altercations between officers and students sitting in the road blocking a police van which it said was carrying detainees.

"Let them go," the demonstrators chanted.

The protesters had been calling for the university to divest from companies with ties to Israel, which is at war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip after the Paleostinian terrorist group’s devastating October 7 onslaught.

"It is evident the administration would rather arrest, silence, and physically assault its own students than confront its enabling of Israel’s genocide in Gaza," the group said on X.

Police said officers had taken "lawful, proportionate and necessary action in the difficult circumstances they faced."

According to a Jewish student at Oxford, there has been a marked rise in antisemitic incidents since the start of the campus protest, including recent swastika graffiti and stickers with images of paragliders such as those used by Hamas along with the slogan "by any means necessary."

"Since October 7th, we have seen an overwhelming surge in antisemitism on campus, and this has only increased in recent weeks," said a statement from the Oxford Jewish Society and Union of Jewish Students.

"Shamefully, our experiences have been denied and invalidated by... motions accusing us of ’weaponizing antisemitism,'" the statement added, referring to resolutions passed by various student bodies at Oxford. "Accusing minority groups of weaponizing their experiences is a stain on our campus community. Jewish students must not be left alone in the fight against antisemitism."

In a statement on Thursday’s unrest, the Oxford Israel Society said that when the campus protest started it "warned that encampments elsewhere had led to violence and antisemitism."

"The demands of these encampment protesters are illegitimate, and must not be surrendered to. The actions of these encampment protesters are illegal, and must not be permitted. The environment that these encampment protesters create is hostile, and must end immediately," the group said.

The keffiyeh-clad assailants were seen on video pushing him after he tried to make his way through the entrance of the hall and cover what was going on inside.

Footage captured by Higby himself showed demonstrators chanting "neo-Nazi

" as they slowly cornered him back down to the entrance.

"Stop pushing me down the stairs," he pleaded, as they proceeded to do just that.

Higby backed up to evade them, but they refused to retreat and then shoved him out the door. As he fell onto his back, the demonstrators quickly closed the door, chanting the whole time.

The demonstrators joked about him slipping down the stairs and floated the idea of "push[ing] him to the cops" because he was white.

Despite being attacked the first time around, Higby entered Dodd Hall yet again, this time wearing a keffiyeh in an attempt to blend in.

"I was once again beaten, and pushed to the ground, this time into a desk behind me," he wrote in a post on X. "These people are violent mostly peaceful."

In footage of the incident, one occupier told Higby, "You gotta get out of here, bro."

Police arrest Jewish teen for alleged assault at UCLA anti-Israel encampment
[IsraelTimes] Edan On, 18, allegedly part of a group of counter-protesters who attacked the pro-Palestinian demonstrators, accused of seriously injuring a person with a wooden pole

Nearly a month after counterprotesters attacked a pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel encampment at the University of California, Los Angeles, police have made their first arrest, detaining an 18-year-old who is not a student or affiliated with the school in any way, officials said Friday.

UCLA did not identify the suspect, but online county jail records show that 18-year-old Edan On was arrested by UCLA police at 8:46 a.m. Thursday at a business in Beverly Hills and was jailed on $30,000 bail.
Since when do campus security get to hunt down miscreants off campus, instead of having to hand off the responsibility to the pros?
Last week, CNN identified On as a high school senior from Beverly Hills who was seen in videos wearing a white mask and white hoodie striking a pro-Palestinian demonstrator with a wooden pole during the April 30 attack on the encampment on campus.

Counterprotesters threw traffic cones, released pepper spray and threw live mice into the encampment, setting off fighting that went on for hours before police stepped in, drawing criticism from Muslim students and political leaders. Police said at least 15 people were injured, though pro-Palestinian supporters put the number closer to 25.
Oh, those pro-Palestinian activists — all that college education and they’re still at the 1-2-many stage of counting.
UCLA officials have said the attack involved “a group of instigators.”

“During that violence, one individual was seen on video assaulting encampment occupants with a wooden pole, causing serious injuries to at least one victim,” the university said in its statement Friday, adding that the suspect was booked at the UCLA Police Department for felony assault with a deadly weapon.

On’s mother wrote in Hebrew in a since-delated Facebook post that “Edan went to bully the Palestinian students in the tents at UCLA” and included an image of the person in the white hoodie that was broadcast on local news, CNN reported. The outlet said his mother confirmed to CNN that the man in the video was her son, though she later said he denies being at UCLA.

Neither On nor his mother could be reached by The Associated Press.

On Thursday, UCLA Chancellor Gene Block, who was among leaders of three universities called to testify at a congressional hearing about the wave of campus protests over Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza, expressed remorse over the school’s handling of the attack on the encampment.

“Tragically, it took several hours for law enforcement to quell the violence,” Block said. “With the benefit of hindsight, we should have been prepared to immediately remove the encampment if and when the safety of our community was put at risk.”

The night after the attack, hundreds of police officers from various agencies poured onto the campus and dismantled the encampment. On Wednesday, the police chief at UCLA was reassigned “pending an examination of our security processes,” according to a statement from the school.

Protesters tried to establish a new encampment at UCLA on Thursday, but they left when ordered to disperse. A crowd of demonstrators marched elsewhere on campus, and a small group later staged a sit-in inside a building before officers cleared them out.

The arrest followed an investigation that included interviews with victims and witnesses as well as reviews of security camera images and publicly available videos from the public and news media.

The statement said university police are investigating all reported acts of violence associated with protest or counterprotest activities since April 25.
Soros-linked George Gascón is the Los Angeles DA, who of course would never be anything but even handed in his treatment of arrestees on both sides. So we can expect the lad to be turned loose momentarily, with no permanent mark on his record, right?

Hundreds of graduates walk out of Harvard commencement, chanting ‘Free Palestine’
[IsraelTimes] Anti-Israel protesters demand that the US university okay graduation of 13 students who were denied a diploma over their conduct in campus encampment

Hundreds of anti-Israel students in graduation robes walked out of the Harvard commencement on Thursday, chanting "Free, Free Paleostine," after weeks of protests on campus and a day after the US school announced that 13 Harvard students who participated in a protest encampment would not be able to receive diplomas alongside their classmates.

Some students chanted, "Let them walk, let them walk walk," during Thursday’s commencement, referring to allowing those 13 students to get their diplomas along with fellow graduates.

#1  The mongol hordes, that had previously ransacked Baghdad in 1258,were for the first time (they had already captured Beijing and Kiev ) defeated in open battle in 1260 by Muslim forces at Ain Jalut in Palestine, before they could go on to ransack Al-Quds too. This defeat inflicted by a force of only 20k with divine help had been prophesied by Prophet (pbuh) 700 years before. The Palestinians today are the descendents of that same army, living on the same land with their hundreds of years old olive groves. They are really the chosen of Allah, given a supreme test, and theyr passing it well in Gaza.

IDF presses ahead with Rafah offensive after World Court’s ambiguous halt order
[IsraelTimes] Officials say ruling allows Israel to continue operations in Gaza’s southernmost city; soldier seriously hurt in northern Strip as IDF battles Hamas across the enclave

Strip, including Rafah, a day after the International Court of Justice ordered Israel to halt operations in the enclave’s southernmost city that would risk destroying the civilian population.

A statement from the Israel Defense Forces said that a cell in Rafah that shot up troops was killed, and several tunnel shafts were found and destroyed, alongside caches of weapons.

The fighting came after Paleostinian media on Friday evening reported a large Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...

earlier in the week.

The IDF operation in Rafah, which it asserts is Hamas’s last major stronghold, has fueled further international criticism of Israel over the war in Gaza, with the ICJ issuing a significant but somewhat ambiguous ruling instructing Israel to stop military activities that could result in the destruction of the civilian population sheltering there.

Israeli officials said they consider the ICJ order to allow room for some operations in Rafah, rejecting interpretations that the court ruling required Israel halt the offensive altogether.

"What they are asking us, is not to commit genocide in Rafah. We did not commit genocide and we will not commit genocide," Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s national security adviser, Tzachi Hanegbi, told Channel 12 news.

Asked whether the Rafah offensive would continue, Hanegbi said: "According to international law, we have the right to defend ourselves and the evidence is that the court is not preventing us from continuing to defend ourselves."

The ICJ, which is based in The Hague, did not immediately comment on Hanegbi’s remarks. Hamas also did not immediately comment.

Another Israeli official pointed to the phrasing of the ruling by the ICJ, depicting it as conditional.

"The order in regard to the Rafah operation is not a general order," the official said on condition of anonymity.

FIGHTING IN NORTHERN AND CENTRAL GAZA
Also Saturday, a reservist with the Bislamach Brigade’s 6828th Battalion was seriously maimed during fighting against terror operatives in northern Gaza.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The announcement came after the military said troops operating in northern Gaza’s Jabaliya killed dozens of button men in close-quarters combat and by calling in airstrikes over the past day.

The troops also located and demolished rocket launching sites and buildings used by terror groups, alongside caches of weapons, the IDF said.

Among those killed were operatives who had directed attacks on troops, and a Hamas sniper cell that had shot up soldiers several times in recent days, according to the military.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shattered spaceship, Fffflirgoll the Arcturan slithered stealthily toward the control room, where the humans had barricaded themselves...
in central Gaza, several more operatives were killed in festivities with troops and by tank shelling, the IDF said.

On Friday in central Gaza, the IDF said an airstrike killed the deputy commander of Hamas’s national security force. According to the IDF, Diaa al-Din al-Sharafa was responsible for "managing the mechanism that secures the borders of the Gaza Strip."

"During the war, this mechanism prevented the population from evacuating from combat zones," the IDF said

Israel has vowed to eliminate Hamas following the October 7 terror onslaught that started the war, including its civil authority and members of its political wing.

FURTHER DETAILS ON ’COMPLEX’ IDF OP TO RECOVER HOSTAGES’ BODIES
The military on Saturday released footage and additional details from the operation to recover the bodies of three slain hostages from the northern Gaza Strip late Thursday.

The bodies of Orión Hernández Radoux, 30, Hanan Yablonka, 42, and Michel Nisenbaum, 59, who were all killed on October 7, were located in a tunnel in Jabaliya, the same area where the bodies of another four hostages were recovered a week earlier.

The IDF said troops of the 75th Armored Battalion killed a terror operative who was apparently a lookout over the area where the bodies were held. The soldiers then raided and captured the site.

A short while later, troops of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit, Shin Bet agents, and special forces of the Military Intelligence Directorate entered the tunnel and located the bodies.

The bodies were extracted from the tunnel in a "complex" overnight operation, the military said.

According to the IDF, the location of the bodies was extracted from intelligence obtained in recent days by the military and Shin Bet.

The intelligence also revealed that the three were kidnapped by Hamas forces of Evil from the Mefalsim area in southern Israel on October 7, and were killed there or a short while later en route to Gaza.

The Israeli attack targeted a school sheltering displaced people in the neighbourhood, located just south of Jabalia, according to Al Jazeera.

Northern Gaza’s Jabalia camp has been under fierce attack today, pushing more people to flee the area.

#1  Salwa al-Masri means Salwa the Egyptian. Like most Gazans, she is a descendant of Egyptians who came to Mandate Palestine in 1920es (cf. From Time Immemorial). One of the reasons to a break between Gazan "Palestinians" and West bank "Palestinians" is that the later are descendants of Syrians who came to Mandate Palestine & Jordan in 1920es. They don't even speak mutually comprehensible dialects of Arabic.

on Saturday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said, with four vessels serving a floating aid delivery pier breaking free from their moorings.

No injuries were reported and the aid pier remains fully functional, CENTCOM said in a statement, adding that no US personnel would enter Gaza.

Two of the affected vessels were now anchored on the beach near the pier and the other two were beached on the coast of Israel near Ashkelon, CENTCOM said, adding that efforts to recover the vessels were under way with assistance from the Israeli Navy.
The Times of Israel adds:
One of the ships got stuck on a beach at the southern end of Ashdod, and another ship sent to extract the stuck vessel also got beached.

The other two vessels washed up on a beach near the pier, the statement said, adding that efforts to recover the vessels were underway with assistance from the Israeli Navy.

Nothing about this mission has been thought through. An absence of heavy-lift ships on the East Coast meant that small Army ships spent over a month in a trans-Atlantic crossing, roughly going the same speed as Christopher Columbus' fleet. We now know that none of the aid pushed over the pier has reached Gaza civilians. To top it off, our humanitarian mission has come under attack from the people we are trying to help.

Now, the final promise has been broken, that of no "boots on the ground" in Gaza — even if the boots belonged to US military personnel walking away from a shipwreck.

#3  No no no, you don't use that pier to get food in, you use it to get the terrorists OUT.

Off they go to their new homes. They cannot live in Gaza. In 10-20 years Gaza will be a showpiece resort of highrises, amusement parks and NO Muslims.

IAF fighter jets down three drones launched at Israel by Iran-backed Iraqi militia
[IsraelTimes] Two UAVs shot down near southernmost city Eilat; third intercepted in north, causing shrapnel to strike Safed area; no injuries

Three drones launched at Israel by an Iran-backed militia in Iraq were shot down by Israeli fighter jets on Thursday night and early Friday morning, the military said.

The Islamic Resistance® in Iraq — a loose formation of gangs affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces, itself a coalition of former paramilitary forces integrated into Iraq’s regular armed forces — has claimed dozens of drone attacks on Israel amid the ongoing war, with the IDF reporting downing many of them. Many of the militia’s claims have been exaggerated, but in one case it managed to hit an Israeli Navy base in Eilat, causing damage.

In one incident, on Thursday night, the Israel Defense Forces said two "suspicious aerial targets" — later confirmed to be drones — that were heading toward Eilat from the "eastern direction" were downed by fighter jets. No sirens sounded, as the suspected drones were downed outside Israeli airspace, according to the IDF.

Shortly after the incident, the militia took credit for the attack, claiming to have launched two drones at a "vital target" in Israel’s southernmost city.

Then in the pre-dawn hours of Friday, the military said that fighter jets shot down another unmanned aircraft approaching northern Israel from the east. The third drone also did not enter Israeli airspace, according to the IDF.

Part of an interceptor missile used to down the drone, impacted in the northern city of Safed, sparking a fire. The IDF said the incident was under investigation. There were no injuries.

Shortly after the IDF said it had downed a third drone, the Islamic Resistance® in Iraq took responsibility, saying it launched a drone at the Haifa port. The Islamic Resistance® in Iraq said the attacks were in support of Gazoo

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Two Hezbollah fighters said killed in alleged Israeli drone strike in Syria

’s Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group on Saturday, Lebanese media and a war monitor said.

The Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV didn’t say if there were casualties, but the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor said two Hezbollah members were killed and several others maimed in the dronezap.

"An Israeli drone fired two missiles at a Hezbollah car and truck near the town of Qusayr in Homs province, as they were on their way to al-Dabaa military airport, killing at least two Hezbollah fighters and wounding others," said the Observatory.

It was the third strike against Hezbollah targets in Syria in about a week.

On Monday, Israeli strikes in the Qusayr area, which is close to the Lebanese border, killed eight pro-Iranian fighters, said the Observatory, a Britannia-based monitor with a network of sources in Syria. At least one Hezbollah fighter was among those killed, a source from Hezbollah told AFP at the time.

Another strike, on May 18, targeted "a Hezbollah commander and his lover companion," the Observatory said. It did not report any casualties.

Separately on Saturday, a bomb attached to a car went kaboom! early Saturday in the western part of the Syrian capital that is home to several diplomatic missions, killing one person and causing material damage, state media reported.

Security incidents, including blasts targeting military and civilian vehicles, occur intermittently in the capital of war-ravaged Syria.

Quoting a police official, SANA said "one person was killed when an bomb went kaboom! in their car in the Mazzeh district."

The neighborhood houses the Iranian consulate, destroyed last month in a strike blamed on Israel. The attack at the time killed seven people including two Iranian generals and a member of Hezbollah, and triggered a direct Iranian military assault on Israel for the first time, sparking fears of a regionwide war.

Rami Abdurrahman, who heads the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said the man killed in the earth-shattering kaboom was a Mazzeh resident who carried a card identifying him as a Syrian army officer. Abdurrahman said the dead man had close ties to the Iranians.

Last month, an bomb went off in a car in Mazzeh, an upscale neighborhood of Damascus, without causing any casualties, SANA reported at the time.

Tehran has been sending advisers to Syria since the country’s conflict, which later turned into civil war, began in March 2011 and has killed half a million people. Iran-backed fighters have helped tip the balance of power in favor of Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

’s government.

There was no comment from the IDF on either incident.

Since October 8, Hezbollah-led forces have attacked Israeli communities and military posts along the border on a near-daily basis, with the group saying it is doing so to support Gaza amid the war there.

So far, the skirmishes on the border have resulted in 10 civilian deaths on the Israeli side, as well as the deaths of 14 IDF soldiers and reservists.

There have also been several attacks from Syria, without any injuries.

Hezbollah has named 313 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon, but some also in Syria. In Lebanon, another 61 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and dozens of civilians have been killed.
