Detroit murder suspect out on bond accused in fourth killing
[FoxNews] Jonathan Welch allegedly killed a woman and stole her vehicle before setting it on fire weeks before being charged with the other murders

A Michigan man accused of killing his mother, stepfather and ex-girlfriend after being released from jail on bond has been charged with a fourth murder.

Jonathan Welch, a Detroit resident, allegedly killed Natayla Morse, 24, prior to his original arrest in June, FOX Detroit reported. Morse was found dead on June 4, 2022.

Prosecutors said Welch killed Morse with blunt force trauma to the head, and then stole her car and set it on fire. In the weeks after the killing, he was charged with the other three murders.

Wayne County prosecutors said he initially attacked and sexually assaulted his former girlfriend a few days after Morse was found dead. He allegedly strangled the ex, poured gasoline on her, threatened to assault her with a drill, burned her arms and legs with a metal spatula, before attempting to sexually assault her using a pole.

The victim told investigators that Welch wrapped the cord around her neck and would strangle her, then release, before reapplying pressure. She said he also heated up the spatula on the stove and then put it on her arm.

Welch was arrested for the alleged torture and assault and released on a $100,000 bond.

Days later, he allegedly killed the ex-girlfriend and then barricaded himself in his mother's home and shot at responding police officers. He then set the home on fire and killed his stepfather and mother, authorities said.

Welch is expected to appear in court Friday.

Superintendent takes stand against anti-police policy after spate of school shootings: 'I can no longer stand on the sidelines'
[TheBlaze] After yet another shooting, the superintendent of Denver Public Schools announced Wednesday that police officers will return to high schools in the district.

The Denver School Board unanimously voted to remove school resource officers in June 2020 after the murder of George Floyd. All officers were phased out from the city's middle and high schools by the summer of 2021. The decision was declared a victory by community activists who had long campaigned to remove police officers from schools.

BUT WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW?
Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero sent the school board a letter declaring his commitment to put a police officer at each comprehensive high school in the district.

And at East High School — where two staff members were shot on Wednesday after patting down a student — Marrero said he will ensure that two Denver police officers remain through the end of the school year to ensure the safety of students and staff. East High School, in particular, has dealt with a wave of gun violence this school year; a student died after being shot in February, and there was another shooting near the school in September.

"Today was my fourth visit to Denver Health's Intensive Care Unit due to victims of gun violence," Marrero wrote in his letter.

Marrero acknowledged his decision violates the resolution the school board passed in 2020, which specifically prohibits a "consistent presence" of police officers and armed security on school campuses.

"However," Marrero added, "I can no longer stand on the sidelines. I am willing to accept the consequences of my actions."

The 17-year-old student who police believe was responsible for the shooting was later found dead. Officials did not release a manner of death. The student was subject to a school safety agreement that required administrators to search him daily.

WHAT WAS THE REACTION?
The school board said it supports Marrero's decision.

"The Board of Education supports the decision of Superintendent Marrero to work in partnership with local law enforcement to create safer learning spaces across Denver Public Schools for the remainder of this school year," the board said.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock (D) also voiced support for Marrero's decision.

"Denver Public Schools Superintendent Alex Marrero and I jointly agree that the safety of students and the public require deployment of police officers assigned to the high school for the remainder of the school year," he said in a statement. "I encouraged and strongly support the Superintendent’s decision to bring police officers back to DPS high schools, and I’ve directed Chief [Ron] Thomas to support this effort and deploy our officers accordingly in coordination with the school district."

Pentagon official forced to read anti-White statements from its diversity chief in congressional hearing
[FOX] A senior Biden-appointed Pentagon official – Gil Cisneros – was forced to read and explain divisive statements against White people from one of his employees in a grilling hearing at the House Armed Services Committee Thursday.

Cisneros – Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness – was responsible for determining the outcome of a probe into former DEI chief Kelisa Wing over divisive tweets about White people, which called them "Karen[s]."

"Mr. Cisneros, are you familiar with the tweet? Can you please read the tweet aloud?" asked Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., about one of Wing's controversial posts.

Cisneros read the post verbatim at the hearing, which said, "So exhausted at the White folks in these PD sessions. This lady actually had the caudacity to say Black people can be racist, too. I had to stop the session and give the Karen the business. We are not the majority. We don't have power."

#4  ‘Woke’DOD official Kelisa Wing reassigned after GOP highlights anti-white tweets
Self-described “woke” Defense Department schools official Kelisa Wing, whose anti-white social media comments garnered national attention last fall, has been reassigned to an unrelated role, The Post has learned.

The Defense Department in October launched a 30-day review of Wing — the now-former education activity chief diversity equity and inclusion officer — after her Twitter posts with disparaging comments about white people resurfaced.

“I’m so exhausted at these white folx in these [professional development] sessions this lady actually had the CAUdacity to say black people can be racist too,” she wrote in one post from June 2020, using a portmanteau for “Caucasian audacity.”

#6  Nice gig:
In the six months since her racially charged tweets drew GOP criticism, the number of her far-left children’s books lining the shelves of the DOD elementary, middle and high schools under her authority increased tenfold.

In October, about 45 copies of books Wing co-authored — including titles such as “What Is White Privilege?” and “What Does It Mean to Defund the Police?” — were available in 11 DOD school libraries, according to a Substack report by OpenTheBooks, a right-leaning nonprofit that tracks government spending.

As of this month, that number had grown to more than 600 books in 49 DOD schools from Quantico, Va., to Yokosuka, Japan, according to online library databases and the report.

Smoking Gun #465
[TGP] Election experts in New Mexico established that the post-election canvass reports in all 33 New Mexico Counties are being illegally prepared.
All? Oh dear.
Complete election records are being uploaded to an uncertified, centralized software under the control of the Secretary of State (SOS) called SERVIS, which is then used to create the official election results.

Use of any uncertified software for this part of the election process is a violation of federal and state law. And according to state law, the SOS is not to have access to the complete election record from any county until the election has been certified.

According to the experts, when the illegal canvass process is complete the SOS is having counties download election data from internet-connected SERVIS onto their "secure" election computers. At the same time, in New Mexico, Dominion voting systems have deleted the original election data from their system. This is a blatant violation of state and federal law that requires all election records to be kept for 22 months after any election with a federal candidate on the ballot. Also, without paper ballots, the original results for the election are eliminated.
Apparently these kinds of smoking guns don't work

DOJ Tries To Stonewall Records Request On FBI Informant Embedded In Jan. 6 Defense Team
[Daily Caller] The Justice Department (DOJ) Thursday decried Jan. 6 defendant Zachary Rehl’s request to release any DOJ reporting records about the defense team, the day after the defense learned that a subpoenaed witness had been an FBI informant, court filings show.

Rehl, a former local Proud Boys leader, is standing trial with the group’s former national chairman Enrique Tarrio and members Ethan, Joseph Biggs and Dominic Pezzola for alleged seditious conspiracy and other charges in an indictment accusing them of conspiring "to oppose the lawful transfer of presidential power by force." After the government said Wednesday that an individual scheduled to appear in the trial as a defense witness had served as an FBI confidential human source from April 2021 to January 2023, Rhel’s attorney Carmen Hernandez filed a motion demanding that the government disclose all FBI or DOJ reports, recordings, and memoranda about "any reporting on and recordings of the defense team."

The DOJ’s Thursday response filing denied the existence of any such reports, recordings or memoranda, despite admitting the source told the FBI around Jan. 9 that she had been subpoenaed to testify in the case and already participated in a deposition. The DOJ contended that the source’s FBI reporting only became relevant in the case after Tarrio’s defense announced on Wednesday that they intended to draw evidence related to the reporting and call her to testify.

Kyrsten Sinema ignoring Democratic donors who want their money back: sources
[NYPOST] Sen. Kyrsten Sinema
...Dem Formerly Dem senatrix from Arizona. She began her political career in the Arizona Green Party and rose to prominence for her progressive advocacy, supporting causes such as LGBTQ rights and opposing the war on terror. She left the Green Party to join the Arizona Democratic Party in 2004 and was elected to a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2012. After her election, she joined the New Democrat Coalition, the Blue Dog Coalition and the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus, amassing one of the most conservative voting records in the Democratic caucus. She won the 2018 Senate election to replace the retiring Jeff Flake, defeating Republican nominee Martha McSally. Sinema is the first openly bisexual (meaning she's not particular) and the second openly LGBT woman to be elected to the House of Representatives and to the Senate in 2012 and 2018, respectively. She also was the first woman elected to the Senate from Arizona....
(I-Ariz.) — who faced backlash after changing her party affiliation to independent from Democrat in December — is still facing blowback from Democratic donors, insiders told On the Money.

While attacks labeling her "the worst kind of hypocrite" from former colleagues in the Arizona legislature have died down, her campaign is still being hounded by angry Democratic donors who want their money back.

According to one source, angry donors were initially told the campaign was working on it — but now they aren’t even getting their calls returned. Neither the senator nor her staff are even bothering to respond anymore, a source added.

Still, Sinema — who almost single-handedly squashed a challenge to the carried interest loophole that taxes private equity and hedge fund profits at a lower rate than other businesses — may be expecting a generous payday from her Wall Street beneficiaries, some Democratic donors are speculating.

Washington (state) bill to ban sale of assault weapons goes to Senate
[KREM] A bill banning assault weapons in Washington state is making significant headway in the legislature. House Bill 1240 passed in the House two weeks ago and will go before a Senate committee Thursday.

This is the first time a proposal like this has passed a chamber of the Washington Legislature.

House Bill 1240 would prohibit the manufacture, importation, distribution, sale or offer for sale of any assault weapon in the state. It was brought forward at the request of Gov. Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson. They said this is necessary legislation to make Washington safer.

To be clear, the bill doesn't prohibit the possession of assault weapons. But it does prohibit transferring them.

The term "assault weapon" characterizes a wide range of the following weapons in the language of the bill:

  • semiautomatic rifles with an overall length of fewer than 30 inches; semiautomatic centerfire rifles that have the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and have one or more additional features listed in the bill;

  • semiautomatic centerfire rifles with a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds;

  • semiautomatic pistols that have the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and have one or more additional features listed in the bill;

  • semiautomatic shotguns that have one or more additional features listed in the bill;

  • specific firearm models identified in the bill; and conversion kits and parts that can be used to assemble an assault weapon or convert a firearm into an assault weapon, if the parts are in the possession of or under the control of the same person.

#1  For anyone who wants t follow it

https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1240&Year=2023

The consensus is it will pass the senate and then a 30 day period before implementation unless Inslee uses emergency powers to enact it immediately. There is a thought he will want to PR it so he might wait a week or so before doing that. Most people agree it will all be overturned but by the time it does it will have wrecked the industry in WA. I suspect bullets will be next.

#2  Remember THE STATE defines what a ASSUALT WEAPON is.
When was the last time a toe in the stop with just THE STATES toe?

Btw: When was the last time any weapon jumped up and decided to ASSUALTED someone?
