UK, France issue terror alerts in Kenya as Ramadan kicks off
[Garowe] French and UK have issued terror alerts in the republic of Kenya as both Moslems and Christians kick off Ramadan and Easter seasons which are fundamental in their respective religions.

It's not the first time the two governments are issuing alerts especially during such a period. al-Shabaab
...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all of which have enough problems without them...
forces of Evil often take advantage of the two important calendar events to attack unsuspecting faithful.

"In the context of upcoming religious holidays [notably Easter and Ramadan], Kenyan police services are reporting an increased terrorist risk during the month of April in Kenya," the French embassy in Kenya said.

The French embassy added that: "It is therefore recommended that all people present in the country exercise extreme vigilance and stay away from any gathering during this period."

On its part, the UK embassy in Nairobi said there are high risks of terrorism activities during the two religious holidays around the world, adding that Kenya is at high risk.

"During this period, United Kingdom nationals are advised to be extremely vigilant."

The foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office [FCDO] has been advised against all but essential travel to areas within 60km of the Kenya-Somali border, Eastern Garissa County [up to 20km north-west of the A3].

Further, they warned against travel to Mandera County [excluding Mandera West sub-county], Lamu County, excluding Lamu Island and Manda Island], areas of Tana River County north of the Tana river itself [up to 20km north-west of the A3] and within 15km of the coast from the Tana river down to the Galana [Athi-Galana-Sabaki] river.

Al-Shabaab forces of Evil have been targeting the said counties, with reports indicating that the activities of the said counties have intensified in recent weeks. In Somalia, the forces of Evil killed over 60 people a fortnight ago, raising questions about the safety of the East African region.

‘Zero Accountability’ – Police Cleared in Rotherham ‘Grooming’ Rape Gangs Scandal
Shameful. May they all burn in Hell.
[Breitbart] The investigation into the police’s handling of the Rotherham grooming gang scandal, in which an estimated 1,400 young girls were sexually abused, has failed to impose any criminal penalties or see any officers fired for misconduct.

In a decision widely condemned by victims’ rights activists, politicians, and lawyers, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has cleared former detective David Walker of any wrongdoing in the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal. The decision to not punish Walker means that all 47 officers who were investigated following the 2014 Jay Report in grooming gang failures have not faced punishment.

Walker, formerly of the of the South Yorkshire Police, had been accused of ignoring tips about potential child grooming, but the IOPC claims that he “acted appropriately with any information” provided to him, the BBC reports.

Jayne Senior MBE, a key witness in the inquiry who ran the Risky Business youth project between 1999 and 2011, said that the former detective had failed to investigate information about two young teenage girls being sexually abused by a taxi driver, with Senior claiming he had said: “This appears to be a matter for social services.”

Providing evidence to the inquest this week, Walker claimed to have been working on up to 180 cases at any given time. He went on to admit that he did not always record information regarding child sex abuse in police databases, but said that the information was sent to other officers or there was a reasonable expectation that other officers would investigate.

Former police detective turned rape gang whistleblower Maggie Oliver said that the decision to clear all the officers involved in the Rotherham scandal demonstrated the “corrupt” nature of investigations into police.

“Expectations are far too low, senior officers should be monitoring and supervising these decisions anyway, and standards are just not high enough when it comes to children being raped!” Oliver wrote on social media.

“But unfortunately I am not shocked. We see this all too often, and usually these cases aren’t brought to public attention. But they are not rare.

“It’s corrupt! They should ALL hang their heads in shame. It still makes my blood boil even after all these years!”

Sarah Champion, the Labour MP for Rotherham, said that the decision not to prosecute any police officers will be a “bitter disappointment” for the grooming gang victims.

“Child sexual exploitation was treated as low priority. Investigations were under-resourced. Officers were untrained and, far too often, uncaring,” the Labour MP said.

“The result was that potentially thousands of children were abandoned to abuse of the most shocking kind.”

The inquiry, dubbed Operation Linden, was launched following the publishing of the Jay Report in 2014, which found that at least 1,400 girls were subjected to sexual abuse.

The report said that authorities should not overlook the reality of mostly white young girls being groomed by mostly Pakistani heritage for fear of being branded as racist.

A 2020 report from the Independent Office for Police Conduct which just cleared officers of wrong said that police did just that, observing that police officers in Rotherham overlooked children being sexually abused by “Asian” rape gangs due to politically correct fears within the police force.

One police chief inspector was quoted in the report as telling a father of a missing girl that Rotherham would “erupt” if they were informed that “Asian” grooming gangs were abusing young white girls.

Operation Linden investigated 47 police officers. While eight were said to have committed “gross misconduct”, so far none have been either fired or face criminal charges.

Attorney David Greenwood, who represented a number of Rotherham grooming gang victims, said of the inquiry: “It’s extremely disappointing that despite the best efforts of the brave women I represent, the police discipline system has delivered zero accountability.”

Greenwood went on to warn that the lack of punishment for police misconduct would result in a lack of trust for the police force from future victims.

The IOPC’s director of major investigations, Steve Noonan said: “We now need to consider the judgment and any potential impact on one ongoing investigation as part of Operation Linden before we will be able to publish our report, which will cover 91 investigations completed so far.

“Our priority remains the welfare of the survivors who took the difficult decision to come forward. They have shown a great deal of bravery both prior to and throughout our investigations and we must be respectful of the experiences they have gone through.”

The full report from Operation Linden is expected to be published later this month.

Pakistan to go to polls after PM Khan foils sacking attempt
[An Nahar] Pakistain will go to the polls to elect a new government within three months after Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
foiled an attempt to boot him from office Sunday by getting the president to dissolve the national assembly. On a day of high drama, the assembly deputy speaker refused to accept a motion of no confidence in the government, as Khan appeared on TV to say there had been "foreign interference" in Pakistain's democratic institutions.

"I have sent advice to the president to dissolve the assemblies. We will go to the public and hold elections, and let the nation decide," he said.

The presidency -- a largely ceremonial office -- acceded hours later.

No premier of Pakistain has ever completed a full term, and Khan has been facing the biggest challenge to his rule since being elected in 2018, with opponents accusing him of economic mismanagement and bungling foreign policy.

On Sunday parliament was due to debate a no-confidence motion that looked certain to succeed, but the deputy speaker -- a Khan loyalist -- refused to accept it, causing uproar in the chamber.

The move appeared to blindside the opposition, who had confidently predicted they had enough votes to boot Khan from office.

- 'SPARK ANARCHY' -
"This day will be remembered as a black day in Pakistain's constitutional history," said Shehbaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistain Moslem League-N (PML-N), who had been tipped to replace Khan if the vote had succeeded.

Khan's Pakistain Tehrik-e-Insaf
...a political party in Pakistan. PTI was founded by former Pakistani cricket captain and philanthropist Imran Khan. The party's slogan is Justice, Humanity and Self Esteem, each of which is open to widely divergent interpretations....
party (PTI) effectively lost its majority in the 342-member assembly last week when a coalition partner said its seven politicians would vote with the opposition.

More than a dozen PTI members had also indicated they would cross the floor.

Khan has accused the opposition of conspiring with "foreign powers" to remove him because he will not take the West's side on global issues against Russia and China.

Earlier this week he accused the United States of meddling in Pakistain's affairs.

Pakistan ready to move forward on Kashmir if India agrees: Gen Bajwa
[GREATERKASHMIR] Pakistain's Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa said that his country is ready to move forward on Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
if India agrees, Dawn reported.

"Pakistain continues to believe in using dialogue and diplomacy to resolve all outstanding issues, including the Kashmir dispute and is ready to move forward on this front if India also agrees to do so," he said.

He had made similar comments at the Islamabad Security Dialogue last year when he had said it was time for both countries to "bury the past and move forward".

Gen Bajwa highlighted the importance of keeping conflict away from the region, he said Pakistain wanted the Sino-India border to be resolved soon through diplomacy and dialogue as well, Dawn reported.

"I believe it is time for the politicianship of the region to rise above their emotional and perceptional biases and break the shackles of history to bring peace and prosperity to almost three billion people of the region.

Court Martial proceedings started against officer involved in Amshipora Encounter: Army
[GREATERKASHMIR] Army on Monday said that Court Martial proceedings have been against an erring Rashtriya Rifles Army Captain for violating the powers vested under the Armed Force Special Powers Act in Amshipora staged encounter.

" The Court Martial preceding’s have been started some time earlier and they have been going on," bigwigs of Army’s 15 Corps told Greater Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
Sunday evening.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's other gun out of his other hand......
PRO (Defence) Srinagar in a statement said, "The Army has initiated general court martial proceedings against a Captain in Op Amshipura, Shopian in south Kashmir in July 2020 after the Court of Inquiry and the Summary of Evidence indicated a need for disciplinary proceedings.

Indian Army is committed to ethical conduct of operations. Further updates on the case will be shared in a manner so as not to prejudice due process of law.''

The proceedings are going on against Captain Bhopinder Singh who was then heading operation party in which three Chenab valley youth were killed in a staged encounter.

On July 18, the Army had claimed that three snuffies had been killed in an operation at Amshipora in Shopian. However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
on the same day, J&K police distanced itself from the encounter and said in a statement that the input for the operation had come from the Army.

A month later, after coming across pictures of the "slain terrorists" on social media, the families of the three said they were labourers and that Mohd Ibrar, the youngest, was 16 years old.

On August 18, while setting up a probe into the killings, the Army said in a statement: "DNA samples have been collected from Rajouri under the aegis of JKP and sent for matching with the faceless myrmidons killed on 18 Jul 2020."

Admitting that the three youths who were killed in an encounter at Shopian on July 18 were missing labourers from Rajouri, as claimed by their families last month, the Army had said its probe had "prima facie" found that its troops exceeded powers under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) — and directed disciplinary proceedings against those "answerable".

The Army had ordered a Court of Inquiry into the encounter after the three families came forward to say the youths were cousins — one of them was reportedly 16 years old — who had gone to Kashmir for work and not been in touch since July 17 night.

Israel and UAE agree on 'milestone' free trade deal
[SHAFAQ] Israel and the United Arab Emirates have concluded negotiations for a free trade agreement, Israel’s Ministry of Economy and Industry and the UAE foreign trade minister said.

The UAE and Israel have between $600m and $700m in bilateral trade, UAE’s economy minister Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri said in September.

The UAE and Israel formally established relations in 2020 as part of the US-brokered Abraham Accords that also included Bahrain and Morocco.

The latest agreement included 95 percent of traded products, which would be customs free — immediately or gradually — including food, agriculture and cosmetic products, as well as medical equipment and medicine, the Israeli economy ministry said in a statement on Friday.

The agreement included regulation, customs, services, government procurement and electronic trade and would come into effect when signed by the countries’ economy ministers and ratified, the statement said, though no timetable was given.

Talks for a free trade agreement had been ongoing since November.

They concluded on Friday after four rounds of negotiations, including last month in Egypt between Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and the UAE’s de facto leader, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"The good relations forged between our two countries are strengthened today by this free trade agreement, which will significantly improve economic cooperation for the benefit of the citizens of both countries," Bennett said.

A separate UAE statement said the agreement would substantially reduce or remove tariffs on a wide range of goods, enhance market access for services and promote investment flows.

It would also create mechanisms for small-and-medium enterprises’ expansion.

"This milestone deal will build on the historic Abraham Accords and cement one of the world’s most important and promising emerging trading relationships," United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani Al Zeyoudi said on Twitter.

Paleostinian officials have accused countries that moved to normalise relations with Israel last year of being complicit with Israeli occupation.

Israel hosted a summit this week of top diplomats from the United States and three Arab states — the UAE, Bahrain and Morocco — with which it has normalised ties since 2020.

Sudan also agreed to normalise ties with Israel, although it has yet to finalise a deal.

Thailand, southern rebels agree to 40-day Ramadan peace initiative
[BenarNews] The warring sides in Thailand’s Deep South conflict agreed to a 40-day pause in violence to cover Ramadan and, in a first, unarmed rebels will be allowed to visit their families during the holy month, officials said after the latest peace talks hosted by Malaysia wrapped up Friday.

Malaysia facilitated the two days of peace talks between the Barisan Revolusi Nasional (BRN) separatist snuffies
...trained in Bandung, Indonesia and retreating to safe havens in Malaysia, they’ve been causing trouble — mostly kabooms — for two decades as they work to make southern Thailand ungovernable...
and the Thai government — the second round of negotiations this year — at a hotel near Kuala Lumpur.
