[FOX] An Indiana woman who injected her husband with a lethal dose of heroin before smothering him with a pillow may be responsible for nine other deaths -- and is suspected of serving her lover's remains to unsuspecting neighbors at a barbecue.
Kelly M. Cochran, 34, was sentenced to 65 years in prison last month after admitting to killing her husband, Jason Cochran; but she was already serving a life sentence for killing and dismembering another lover, Chris Regan, who vanished in 2014, Indy Star reported.
An upcoming documentary called "Dead North," set to air on May 28 and May 29 on Investigation Discovery, probes other possible murders that may be linked to Cochran. Cochran’s family told investigators she may have killed as many as nine people and buried their bodies throughout the Midwest.
Her friends and family also told investigators the stomach-churning tale of how Cochran allegedly served Regan’s remains to her neighbors at a barbecue.

[IMAGES.DAWN] Harvey Weinstein’s estranged wife, Georgina Chapman, has given her first interview since scandal erupted around her husband, saying that she never knew about his alleged sexual misconduct, and breaking down in sobs when speaking about their two small children.
In an interview in Vogue’s June issue , posted online Thursday, Chapman says she had "what I thought was a very happy marriage. I loved my life." Asked if she had suspicions about her husband’s behavior, she says: "Absolutely not. Never."
"There was a part of me that was terribly naive ‐ clearly, so naive," she says at another point. "I have moments of rage, I have moments of confusion, I have moments of disbelief! And I have moments when I just cry for my children. What are their lives going to be? What are people going to say to them?" Her interviewer writes that Chapman breaks down in tears at this point. "It’s like, they love their dad. They love him. I just can’t bear it for them!"
The interview comes seven months after Chapman announced she was divorcing Weinstein, who has been accused by dozens of women of sexual abuse, including assault and rape. After issuing that statement, she has remained out of public view. Her fashion line, Marchesa, which she co-founded with Keren Craig, canceled its show for February’s New York Fashion Week, and Marchesa gowns were nowhere to be seen at awards shows like the Golden Globes and the Oscars.

saying that she never knew about his alleged sexual misconduct
The word I'm looking for here rhymes with "full kit." The bottom line is that everyone knew; to the point where it was actually referenced at an Oscar ceremony. It wasn't until someone actually stood up in public and said they had been assaulted did it all come down.

My first impression of the headline was that someone BOMBED Turkey with "two tonnes" of liver.
[All Africa] Former international relations and cooperation minister Maite Nkoane-Mashabane acted unconstitutionally when she granted former Zim-bob-wean first lady, Grace Mugabe, diplomatic immunity.
This is the argument of the counsel representing the Democratic Alliance in an application by lobby group AfriForum against the decision by Nkoane-Mashabane to grant diplomatic immunity to Mugabe.
The case relates to an incident that happened in 2017, when the 52-year-old wife of former president Bob Muggsy Mugabe Nonagenarian President-for-Life of Zim-bob-we who turned the former Breadbasket of Africa into the African Basket Case. Dumped in November 2017 when the Missus decided she wanted to be president, and opposed heer might against Crocodile Mnangawa Important safety tip: If your opponent goes by the name Crocodile andf your title is Shopper in Chief let him win.... allegedly beat up model Gabriella Engels at a Johannesburg hotel where her two sons were staying.
The matter is sitting before acting Judge Bashier Vally in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria.
The DA's legal heavyweight, advocate Anton Katz SC said: "Point two is that what the minister of international relations did in relation with Grace Mugabe was inconsistent with the Constitution.
"The day that Robert Mugabe ceased to be the president of the country, it would seem that there is an argument to be made that Grace Mugabe's immunity ceased to exist."
Katz asked whether any immunity granted while Mugabe was still the president, was still valid.
"There was an event, of an alleged assault GBH, she got spousal immunity for that event."
Katz said the minister must explain the status of the immunity to the court.
"She has gotten it on the virtue of her office, not because of her work. That immunity ceases once you are no longer in office," he added.
'The minister accepts that the immunity no longer exists'
Council for the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, Hilton Epstein SC, then interrupted.

[Al Jazeera] At least 26 people have been killed and seven others maimed in an attack in northwest Burundi, according to officials.
The attack took place on Friday in the village of Ruhagarika in the province of Cibitoke, located near Burundi's border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo ...formerly the Congo Free State, Belgian Congo, Zaire, and who knows what else, not to be confused with the Brazzaville Congo aka Republic of Congo, which is much smaller and much more (for Africa) stable. DRC gave the world Patrice Lumumba and Joseph Mobutu, followed by years of tedious civil war. Its principle industry seems to be the production of corpses. With a population of about 74 million it has lots of raw material... (DRC).
Speaking at the scene on Saturday, Security Minister Allain Guillaume Bunyoni told news hounds that 24 people were killed in their homes on Friday night, while two others died of their wounds at a local hospital.
In a statement earlier in the day, Bunyoni said attackers came from the DRC and returned there after the assault.
They "shot and burned" people, he said, blaming the attack on a "terrorist group".
Witnesses said the violence began around 10:00pm (20:00 GMT) on Friday, when a group armed with guns and knives entered Ruhagarika, and began killing people and setting fire to buildings.

[ALMASDARNEWS] Russia’s Tupolev Tu-95 aircraft were escorted by two F-22 jets of the US Air Force at some section of the route, which did not approach them closer than 100 meters, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov told news hounds on Saturday.
He noted that "the Tu-95MS strategic bombers operated by the [Russian] Aerospace Forces and the Tu-142 long-range anti-submarine aircraft operated by the Navy successfully performed a planned flight over the neutral waters of the Arctic Ocean, the Bering Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk on May 11."
"At some section of the route the aircraft operated by the Russian Aerospace Forces that were carrying out a patrol flight were escorted by two F-22 jets of the US Air Force for 40 minutes, which did not approach them closer than 100 meters," he said.
According to Konashenkov, the crews of the Russian aircraft have fully accomplished their air patrol missions.
He added that Russia’s long-range and naval aviation pilots regularly performed flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, the Atlantic, the Black Sea and the Pacific. All flights by Russian aircraft are performed in strict conformity with the international airspace rules, without any violations of other countries’ borders.

...There used to be an unwritten code of behavior for this sort of thing. The fighters would form up on the bomber, everybody would look each other over, get some serious pictures, then the Bear tail gunner would lower his cannon to full depression. At that point everybody would get out their personal cameras. The Americans would hold up Playboy and Penthouse centerfolds*; the Russians would pull out bottles of vodka and slam back a toast.
The fighters would escort them down to the next intercept, everybody would salute, and the whole thing would start all over again. I imagine some of those Russian aircrew were well and truly hammered by the time they got down.

*I imagine the centerfolds part has long since been banned.

Nope. Nowadays it's the Russians who wave centerfolds while Americans cover their eyes.

I met a youg Air Force pilot Friday at dinner. He is the grandson of one of my friends here. He has flown both the F-22 and F-35 and said he prefers the F-22 because you have to actually fly it most of the time. The F-35 he was mostly a passenger.

They appear to have the Nork situation well in hand. What have the Norks got? An aviation museum of MiG-17, MiG-19, MiG-21, a squadron of MiG-29. Stuff that was junk when it was new, and are widow-makers to fly today.
I was surprised to see the F-4 is still in service somewhere. The F-5 too. Cool!

And a map showing where the various things are stationed. Cool, indeed. Thank you, Herb!

I think the purloined OPLANs sort of convinced the Norks that too. Either a change in attitude or the desperate need to buy a lot more time seemed a wiser course.

...When I was at Kunsan (Gunsan on the map), the RoKAF had their last squadron of F-86 Sabres stationed there too. Our F-16 drivers discovered real quick that you messed with the older birds at your peril.

[PRESSTV] US President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... thanks North Korea for showing willingness to scrap a nuclear site.
In a tweet on Saturday, the president asserted that such a move would be "a very smart and gracious gesture."

[MIRROR.CO.UK] North Korea has announced on state media it will dismantle its nuclear test site just weeks ahead of a summit with President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... I guess it did collapse after the bomb went bang.
The rogue nation will start to take the facility apart on May 23, with international media watching.
The country's central news agency said the dismantlement of the nuclear test ground would involve collapsing all of its tunnels with kabooms, blocking its entrances and removing all observation facilities, research buildings and security posts.
Journalists from other countries, including the United States and South Korea, will be invited to cover the event.
The nuclear site that will be dismantled is located in Pukyung, and the area around Pumyeong nuclear test site will also be closed.

Carefully storing away the components until the new site is set up?
Still, exciting that they are backing down so far even before negotiations with President Trump’s team have begun.
I think Trump and Pudge kinda sorta bonded during that period when they were insulting each other. It's a guy thing.
For Pudge, this can be a big opportunity. He gets to stay in power, he remains a hero of the people in current NKor mythology and he gets access to more fine cognac and other western goods.
Prediction: there will be a strict inspection regime but it will be masked by security guarantees and lots of happy talk about opening up NKor to the modern world. But we've seen happy talk and economic carrots before, you say. Yes, but never accompanied by threats of nuclear destruction and not from someone who would walk away from a bad deal.
[DAWN] LAHORE: A motorcyclist threw acid on a girl student at her doorstep in Green Town here on Friday.
A resident of Bagrian Stop, the girl suffered multiple burns including on her face and arms. Her family with the assistance of neighbours took her to the Jinnah Hospital.
The motorcyclist expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after throwing acid on the student when she had just returned from school, eyewitnesses told police.
The doctors at the Burn Unit said half of the face of the girl had burns as had a major part of her arm. The girl and her parents told police that they were unaware of the identity of the assailant.
Police started the paperwork but haven't done much else against the unidentified man.

[Al Jazeera] At least 19 people, including four members of the security forces, were killed by an gang near the main border gate with China, a spokesperson for the Myanmar government told news hounds.
The Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) launched three attacks on early Saturday in the town of Muse in Shan state, also injuring 20 others, Zaw Htay, the spokesperson said.
Mai Aik Kyaw, TNLA's front man, told AFP news agency that they attacked military posts, a casino just outside the town of Muse on a road to Lashio.
The TNLA and other ethnic groups have been fighting against government forces for decades, seeking greater autonomy and federalism.
Civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi said ending Myanmar's long history of festivities was her main priority after she took power in 2016, but she shares power with the military that fought the insurgencies for decades.
More than a third of Myanmar's townships are affected by unresolved conflict, according to a 2017 report from the Asia Foundation.
Aung San Suu Kyi managed to bring two ethnic groups into a ceasefire accord in February, adding to eight others who had signed the deal before she took office.
