[Last Refuge] During a joint press conference held in Tokyo, Japan, held by Joe Biden and Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, Biden was asked about the financial pain Americans are feeling with massive increases in gasoline prices.
Outlining how his energy policy is directly related to the gasoline price, Joe Biden said: "Here’s the situation. And when it comes to the gas prices, we’re going through an incredible transition that is taking place that, God willing, when it’s over, we’ll be stronger and the world will be stronger and less reliant on fossil fuels when this is over." Yet again proving the intent of the administration is to implement the ’Green New Deal’ through executive action. WATCH:
Is there really anything different between the governmental minions of Shanghai turning the place into one giant penitentiary because Big Brother proclaimed there will be Zero Covid and the minions here who keep pushing this destructive policy? Nothing short of the collapse of the central authority is going to end behaviors like this.

California has not done everything. For example, it could pass a $20 / gallon excise tax.

His administration has emphasized a shift toward clean energy as a way to reduce the global dependence on Russian oil and gas
Maybe I'm way off base here, but shouldn't these 'clean energy' systems be in place and fully operational before shifting off 'Russian' (lol) oil and gas?

End the war. There's literally nothing else that can be done at this point to prevent hyperinflation. OPEC won't produce more and the West can't refine more.
The British people are being pushed to the breaking point. It's the same in most of Europe.

I think Ukraine gets to decide when the war ends. Pulling western support will not end the war. Ukraine will resort to low level attacks and gorilla type actions.
If the West capitulates and ends support for Ukraine, there is no guarantee Putin will lift his sanctions. Were I he, I would not.
[NYP] WASHINGTON — FBI agents probing since-debunked claims of a secret back channel between Donald Trump and a Russian bank believed that the allegations had originated with the Department of Justice — when in fact they came from Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann, who had shopped them to the bureau’s then-general counsel days earlier.
In the latest revelation to emerge from Sussmann’s trial in DC federal court on a count of lying to the FBI, special counsel John Durham’s prosecutors revealed that investigators had received an electronic communication citing a referral from the DOJ "on or about" Sept. 19, 2016, the same day Sussmann met with James Baker, then the FBI’s top lawyer. No need to vet Mike's sources, he's one of us. We'll throw a DOJ blanket over it and keep it internal.
The document, a record of the investigation being opened by agents Curtis Heide and Allison Sands and dated Sept. 23, 2016, did not mention Sussmann as the source of the allegations.
"In that referral, the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE provided the FBI with a white paper that was produced by an anonymous third party," the communication said, before adding: "According to the white paper, a U.S.-based server that is owned by the TRUMP ORGANIZATION has been communicating with the Russian-based ALFA BANK organization in Moscow, Russia."
The document was circulated to several top FBI officials — including Peter Strzok, who oversaw the probe of Clinton’s email server as well as the Trump-Russia investigation, and was famously fired from the bureau in 2018 after the emergence of text messages he sent to his colleague and mistress Lisa Page in which he vowed to help "stop" Trump from winning the White House.

[Wire] GOP lawmakers hammered former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after her former campaign manager revealed her central role in disseminating false claims about former President Donald Trump and Russia’s Alfa-Bank during the 2016 presidential election.
Court testimony in the trial of cybersecurity attorney Michael Sussmann revealed that Clinton personally approved the dissemination of later-debunked claims of a secret backchannel between the Trump Organization and Russia’s Alfa-Bank to the press. Clinton’s 2016 campaign manager, Robby Mook, said that the Clinton campaign’s evidence of the backchannel was dubious, but Clinton approved sending it to reporters anyway.
"Hillary Clinton and Jake Sullivan knew the Trump-Russia collusion dossier was false but pretended to play dumb with the American people," Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) said. Sullivan, currently the White House national security adviser, worked on Clinton’s 2016 campaign as a senior policy adviser.
"Everyone involved in cooking up the false Trump-Russian collusion narrative should be held fully accountable — including Hillary Clinton," she added.
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said in a radio interview over the weekend that Mook’s testimony is a "major scandal" and has shown that Clinton’s involvement in the origins of the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy theory is greater than previously known, according to The New York Post.
"They used individuals who had contracts with our Defense Department to mine this data and develop some kind of inference that Trump was colluding with Russia so that they could report that to the FBI [which could then] ... report that to the American public as an October surprise," Johnson said. A $925,000,000. fine (half to Trump - half to the taxpayers) and 5 years in jail should cover it.

...don't confuse the federal bureau of prisons facility in Leavenworth (300 METROPOLITAN LEAVENWORTH, KS 66048), with the United States Disciplinary Barracks center on Fort Leavenworth. Cackles would go to the former. BTW, there are two state prisons, men's and women's in the adjacent town of Lansing. Sort of a regional 'business' that is unlikely to 'downsize' anytime soon.
