Kerstin Anita Marianne Ekberg was born on September 29, 1931 in Malmo, Sweden. Growing up with seven brothers and sisters was not an adventure, but Anita's adventure began when she was elected Miss Sweden in 1950.
Seven brothers and sisters? Swedes must breed like rabbits.
[FoxNews] A suspicious U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent, who decided extra scrutiny was needed for a truck that was supposed to contain a shipment of medical supplies on Friday, was responsible for discovering more than 3,100 pounds of methamphetamine, fentanyl and other illegal substances – the second-largest ever bust of its kind along the southwest border, a report said.
The drugs, which were discovered at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, in San Diego, were found in a truck that pulled into the commercial side of the border crossing, NewsNow Las Vegas reported Sunday evening.
CPB officers, using the port’s imaging system, found suspicious materials in the rear of the trailer, the report said. The trailer was sent to the dock and a canine alerted them to the boxes inside.
The shipment was unloaded before CPB discovered 1,816 packages co-mingled with the medical supplies. Included in the haul was approximately 3,014 pounds of methamphetamine, 64 pounds of heroin, 29 pounds of fentanyl powder and almost 37 pounds of fentanyl pills, worth an estimated $7.2 million, the official said.
The driver, a 47-year-old Mexican citizen, was arrested, the report said.
[Task&Purpose] Two Marine veterans are among the 13 men arrested over an alleged plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan, Marine Corps Times first reported.
That’s the plot led by several Trump-hating anarchists amusingly labelled as far right white nationalists.
Former Marine Daniel Harris, 22,
...we already knew about his Marine experience. He’s the security guard who supports Black Lives Matter...
and former Marine reservist Joseph Morrison, 26,
... known online as Boogaloo Bunyan, he cofounded the Wolverine Watchmen...
were among the men charged by state and federal authorities this week after law enforcement foiled an alleged scheme to kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender... The Marine Corps provided Task & Purpose with a statement on Sunday confirming that both Morrison and Harris are Marine veterans.
"We are aware of the circumstances surrounding the two individuals, and will assist the investigating authorities in any way we can," the Marine Corps statement says. "The serious allegations are not a reflection of the Marine Corps, do not reflect the oath every Marine takes to support and defend the constitution, and do not align with our core values of honor, courage, and commitment. "
Six men, including Harris — an 0311 Rifleman who enlisted in the Corps in June 2015 and left as a corporal in June 2019 after serving with the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina — were charged in federal court on Thursday with conspiring to kidnap the Whitmer in the run-up to the November elections.
According to the bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... Free Press, Harris allegedly discussed launching an attack on a Michigan State Police Facility before kidnapping the Whitmer, saying in an encrypted group chat that the group should, "Have one person go to her house. Knock on the door and when she answers it just cap her."
Morrison joined the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in March 2015 and served as an MOS 1341 Engineer Equipment Mechanic with the Engineer Support Company, 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group in Battle Creek, Michigan, until his Oct. 8 discharge, which was not connected to the alleged plots, according to the Marine Corps. His final rank was lance corporal.
[Post&Courier] A Michigan law enforcement investigation of a militia’s plot to kidnap that state’s governor ensnared a 21-year-old former Fort Jackson trainee who relocated from the bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... area to South Carolina in July.
Federal authorities arrested Paul Edward Bellar and booked him at the Alvin Glenn Detention Center in Columbia on Wednesday. That was hours after a Michigan warrant named him as a "sergeant" of the militia that law enforcement alleges had plans to violent mostly peacefully overthrow the state capitol, apprehend Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender... and charge her with treason.
Drawing on his military experience, Bellar was responsible for training the group — dubbed the Wolverine Watchmen — on the use of firearms, medical care and other "tactical exercises," Michigan prosecutors allege.
In a hearing before a Richland County magistrate Friday morning, Bellar waived his right to contest his extradition, a clerk for the court told The Post and Courier. His father said he had not spoken to him Friday, and it wasn’t immediately clear if he was already being moved out of the state.
In an interview with The Post and Courier, Bellar’s father denied that his son was seriously involved with the organization. Thomas Bellar acknowledged that his son attended "a couple of training sessions," but insisted he quickly severed his ties.
"He left them on very bad terms," said Thomas Bellar, who lives and works in Columbia as a property manager. "He told them they were crazy."
Thomas Bellar said his son moved in with him this summer after he couldn’t find work during the pandemic as a firearms trainer for local police departments in the Detroit area. Paul Bellar’s Michigan landlord also attempted to evict him for not paying rent on his mobile home in July, the Detroit Free Press reported.
That’s when Paul Bellar relocated to Columbia, his father said. He noted that prosecutors allege the militia’s plot set a deadline of the November election, while he insists his son left the state months earlier.
"It’s kind of hard to storm a capitol living 800 miles away," Thomas Bellar said.
Paul Bellar trained for the Army at Fort Jackson and was honorably discharged a little more than a year ago with post-traumatic stress disorder, his father said.
Michigan authorities now seek his extradition on charges of supporting a terrorist act, felony affiliation with a gang and possession of a firearm while committing a felony. Taken together, the charges could carry more than 40 years of imprisonment.
He is one of seven accused of affiliation with the militia who face state charges. Six other suspected ringleaders were arrested by the FBI and face federal charges that could result in life sentences upon conviction.

[AnNahar] More than a thousand illegal African migrants colonists have landed in the Spanish Canary Islands in the last 48 hours, an influx not seen in at least 10 years, according to the Red Thingy.
African migrants colonists have recently turned to the Canary Islands after agreements with The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... , Morocco and Libya tightened control over the Mediterranean route to Europe's shores.
Since Thursday, 1,015 people have arrived on 37 vessels to the islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Grand Canaria and Tenerife, the last two territories laying around 300 km (190 miles) off Africa's coast.
Most of the migrants colonists, from North Africa or sub-Saharan African nations, were in good health, though some were suffering symptoms of hypothermia, a Red Thingyfront man said.
All have been tested for the new coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... , the official said.
The Red Thingy said the rate of arrivals was more or less the same as in 2006, when 30,000 migrants colonists landed in the Canary Islands.
Between January and September 30, more than 6,000 migrants colonists landed in the Canaries, six times the number who arrived in the same period in 2019, according the Spanish interior ministry.
[AlAhram] At least five Malian villagers have been killed by suspected jihadists in the centre of the country where attacks and ethnic festivities have been on the rise, witnesses and local officials said on Sunday.
The attack followed the kidnapping by button men on Tuesday of around 20 people at a weekly market in the same village, Farabougou, near the central Malian town of Niono.
"The village is cut off from the country by gunnies who have blocked all access routes," said village chief Boukary Coulibaly.
Villagers trying to enter the area were ambushed, leaving five dead and fifteen maimed, he said.
Another local official said six people had been killed. A resident contacted by AFP by phone also said that six non-combatants were killed by the jihadists, and others were missing.
While the ambush was going on, another group of button men in pick-up trucks and cycle of violences rounded up cattle from Farabougou, another villager said.
An official at the security ministry said security forces were taking measures to free the village.
Mali has been struggling to end a jihadist insurgency which emerged in 2012 and has since spread into neighbouring Burkina Faso ...The country in west Africa that they put where Upper Volta used to be. Its capital is Oogadooga, or something like that. Its president is currently Blaise Compaoré, who took office in 1987 and will leave office feet first, one way or the other... and Niger.
Central Mali has become an epicentre of the conflict, with routine jihadist attacks, ethnic strife and tit-for-tat killings among communities.
[AlAhram] Two bodies were recovered and seven people rescued after a boat carrying dozens of would-be migrants colonists went down off the Tunisian coast on Sunday, the National Guard said.
"A boat carrying illegal migrants colonists was shipwrecked off Sfax... two bodies, of a woman and a baby, were found, and seven people were rescued," front man Housemeddine Jebabli told AFP.
According to initial estimates, 30 migrants colonists from sub-Saharan Africa were on board the vessel, Jebabli said, adding that a search was underway for those missing.
He did not indicate where they had departed from.
The number of would-be migrants colonists attempting to cross to Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... from Tunisia sharply from a peak in 2011.
But it began rising again in 2017, driven partly by economic woes and inequality in the North African country, almost a decade after a revolution that many hoped would bring change.
The interior ministry said Sunday it had stopped 32 attempts to cross the Mediterranean and arrested 262 people between the start of the year and mid-September. Two people were from sub-Saharan Africa.
Over the same period, 8,581 people were intercepted while trying to reach Europe by sea from Tunisia, the ministry said. They included 2,104 foreigners.

There was earnest work to turn conventional aircraft into radio controlled, but I think they were used mostly as ground attack 'guided missile' operations.
Conventional aircraft have been converted to radio control as target drones to test out anti-air systems.
If someone has done this before in an actual war situation, I can't think of it and they haven't bragged about it.

Yes; I believe the Germans were playing around with the technology as well.
IIUC, the limited technology of the time didn't allow for 'wild weasel' type missions.
I'd look at late 40's to 50's for a conventional aircraft turned drone cold war tactic.
I also looked at other theaters such as Israel/Middle East, Iran/Iraq, India/Pakistan and didn't immediately come across a wild weasel conventional aircraft turned drone.
In the 60s, it seems the technology was there for purpose built drones for wild weasel missions; why I looked at not-cold-war locations.
Its clever, really, and would be no surprise if North Korea would have drone planes to cover an airborne operation.

[Jpost] "Violent attack last night on the cop shoppe of Champigny with mortar shots and various projectiles. No police officer was injured," the Gay Paree police headquarters said on Twitter.
About 40 unidentified people armed with metal bars and using fireworks as mortars tried to storm a French cop shoppe in the Gay Paree suburbs on Saturday night, officials said on Sunday.
"Violent attack last night on the cop shoppe of Champigny with mortar shots and various projectiles. No police officer was injured," the Gay Paree police headquarters said on Twitter.
The police posted a video showing a barrage of fireworks going off in the direction of the cop shoppe in Champigny-sur-Marne, about 15 km (nine miles) southeast of central Gay Paree. The armed people attempted to force entry into the station, but failed to do so.
Nobody was arrested, but images showed smashed windows at the cop shoppe and damaged cars.
The motive for the attack, the third on this cop shoppe in two years, was not immediately clear. The cop shoppe is located in a housing estate area known for drug trafficking and deemed by authorities as a high-priority district for order to be restored.
Sounds like our favourite kind of people, though they don’t say it outright. If only someone who knew the neighbourhood would happen in to tell us about the residents.
"It was an organized attack of about 40 people who wanted to do battle," Champigny Mayor Laurent Jeanne told BFM. "For a few days it has been tense with people who have a certain willingness to do battle with the police. It's anti-police sentiment. We weren't far off from a disaster."
A spate of public safety incidents across La Belle France since the end of the COVID-19 lockdown in mid-May has put the government on heightened alert for increases in crime amid the economic fallout from the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic.
President Emmanuel Macron, who faces a presidential election in less than two years, has been criticized by opponents over crime and public safety since he took power in 2017 and opinion polls show that the public see his government as weakest on those issues.
The city's mayor, Laurent Jeanne, told BFM television the police might have been targeted in retaliation for an "incident" involving a scooter driver who was stopped by officers a few days ago, without providing details.
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin tweeted that "these little dealers don't scare anyone, and will not discourage our anti-drug work," though police officials did not identify the attackers, and no arrests were made.
But police union officials said the attack underscored a growing threat against law enforcement in depressed suburbs of Gay Paree and other large cities.
The Champigny-sur-Marne station had already been struck by youths wielding fireworks, most recently last April, and several others across La Belle France have sustained similar attacks this year.
The assault came after two officers were attacked and shot with their own guns in a Gay Paree suburb last Wednesday, prompting renewed calls for stepped-up efforts to tackle crime and insecurity.
Tensions have long run high between police and residents in poor cities, often with large immigrant communities, where protests erupted this summer over claims of brutality and racism in their ranks.

The article also reports on a rash of swastikas spray painted on Parisian public buildings. I’ve seen elsewhere that they caught the miscreant, an unnamed gentleman from Georgia, whose population is 11% Muslim.
One inhabitant told Gay Pareeian tabloid Le Gay Pareeien: "It’s no longer possible to live here, I spend as little time there as possible, there are too many youths [French euphemism for Arab and African immigrants colonists, ed.] who have nothing else to do but piss off people."
Darmanin expressed his wish to prohibit, by law, the sale to the public, on the internet, of fireworks which could be considered as "eventual weapons". For several years already these pyrotechnic devices — intended for fireworks professionals — have in fact been used as projectiles against the police or firefighters.

I'm never quite sure which way a given trans is going based on the prose descriptions of such. Could we get some symbols like the old male and female symbols to clarify the situation for people like me who are slow in the morning?
That said, seems a certain type of girl can make a pretty convincing boy without much effort, whereas the other deal seems a bit harder to bring off convincingly...

I'm not sure what this 9News is, but the only person in the area which looks anything like a reporter is some gal with a safety vest with "Press" stenciled onto it, and some sort of emblem; looks like typical Blamtifa Media Agent: not an official media uniform, multiple prop cameras, movement and behavior - dude gets shot and she is right there unflinching.
If shooter was there to protect a legit pencilneck with a mic and camera crew, he was some 40 yards away from that scene, which isn't bodyguarding.

I think cingold (from yesterday at the 'Burg) has the right idea.
"IMO, best guess is 9 News Colorado probably hired Antifa scum as both security and as bait for a “news gathering” creation, & then went trolling to try to get footage of a (provoked) fight. IMO, looks like there were at least three people in on the plan:
1) the 9 News “producer,”
2) the Antifa “security,” Matt Doloff, and
3) the young man who kept trying to provoke a fight (IMO, bait) — probably also Antifa.
i think the guy who was shot and killed figured it all out and was confronting the producer, and the security drew down on him, and killed him when he used mace in response."

Something I have not seen discussed in regard to this incident, even on several gun blogs (or in the comments) was the shooter was pretty quick and most reports I have seen say it was a head shot, which isn't a simple thing even close up.

Practiced and kitted.
Everyone was just kinda standing around until the shot was fired. In fact, everyone kinda seemed surprised other than the media agent and the shooter who, by training or intent, surrendered quite quickly and professionally.

Cingold was close. 9News hired Antifa scum because they themselves are Antifa scum. Their scam appears to go out and "cover" and event. Said "security" would agitate and stir up trouble. News producers then report on violent white supremacists. 9News is nothing more than leftist agitprop operation

Unless you are interested in mindset and procedure, skip the prik to 1:56:00
First see Clockwork Orange at 1:56:56, she is official Blamtifa Media, with the video cameras with optical zoom, backup video recorder system, and fanny pack within which I'd guess there is a way to upload to a media center for quick production turn-around among other essential items like extra batteries, memory cards, etc.
The whole event is recorded, that can be uploaded to media center for framing and story and quickly sent to their NBC Affiliate to make the first take, especially if this was a trophy hunt as a good case could be made that it is.
charger, I'm going to guess all of them have a designated person to receive Local Blamtifa Chapter Media Representative official photo and story.
Blamtifa gets their story out, media has a plausible denial and if pressed for the full recording, "Yeah, we'll get on that, might be a day or two."
By then, hell just 30 minutes later, the lie is around the world twice with "Professional Bodyguard on assignment protecting reporter from unhinged right wing extremists gets sucker punched, bear sprayed, defends his and reporter's lives."
Militant antifa videographer @1misanthrophile gets cussed out by man after following him. She says she is scared but continues following anyway. Meanwhile, #antifa mobilized to confront group in downtown Portland. pic.twitter.com/CCJrlsicw5

The cellphone held forehead high mode of "filming" isn't very discreet. For a lot less money you can get any number of devices that take good video without drawing attention to yourself.
Given the environment, this should be a safety consideration first and foremost...

The Army has foiled an attempt to push in arms and ammunition by Pakistain from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... and recovered a cache, including four AK74 rifles, officials said on Saturday.
Alert troops foiled Pakistain’s attempt to push in arms across the LoC in Keran Sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, an Army official said. He said the Army noticed two-three men transporting some items in a tube tied to a rope across Kishenganga river.
The troops immediately reached the location and recovered four x AK 74 rifles, eight magazines and 240 rounds concealed in two bags. The area has been cordoned off and a search is under progress, the official said.
He said it was another attempt by Lions of Islam from Pakistain Occupied Kashmir to smuggle war-like stores, but it was successfully foiled by the quick action of alert troops.
Corps Commander of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps Lt Gen B S Raju said there has been no change in Pakistain’s intentions.
"This morning, in the Keran sector, Pakistain tried to send across the Kishenganga river four AK74 rifles and a huge cache of ammunition in a tube, but our alert troops with the help of surveillance devices, recovered the cache. It signifies that there has been no change in Pakistain’s intentions. We will continue to foil their attempts in the future as well," Lt Gen Raju told news hounds on the sidelines of a function in Rangreth area in the outskirts of the city here.
"There have been attempts in Keran, Tangdhar, in Jammu sector and Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... as well. The main aim is to keep the people of Kashmir involved always in terrorism. But, our resolve is to stop weapons from coming in so that there is minimal loss to the people here. We need the cooperation of the people in this so that we can stop terrorism," the Corps Commander said.
[HindustanTimes] The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday filed a charge sheet against eight people including Hany Babu, Gautam Navlakha, and 83-year-old Stan Swamy, alleging that the Bhima Koregaon violence was a "well-chalked-out strategy" for which these people were in touch with Maoist leaders through "codes".
The charge sheet also alleged that Navlakha has links with Pakistain’s spy agency — Inter-Services Intelligence ...the Pak military intelligence agency that controls the military -- heads of ISI typically get promoted into the Chief of Army Staff position. It serves as a general command center for favored turban groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad, tries to influence the politix of neighboring countries, and carries out a (usually) low-level war against India in Kashmir... The Pune Police, while conducting investigations in the case previously, contended that provocative speeches made at an Elgar Gay Pareehad event, which was allegedly funded by Maoists, triggered caste festivities near Bhima Koregaon village on January 1 in 2018, leading to the death of one person and sparking more unrest.
While the agency says Milind Teltumde is absconding, the others named in the charge sheet are in judicial custody. Other than activist Navlakha, Delhi University professor Hany Babu and holy man Swamy, the others named in the charge sheet are Goa Institute of Management professor Anand Teltumbde and three members of the Kabir Kala Manch — Jyoti Jagtap, Sagar Gorkhe and Ramesh Gaichor.
How very interesting that Pakistan’s ISI are partnering with a CCP client to go after a joint enemy.
