[Reuters] A U.S. judge on Tuesday ordered the release of a deposition that British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell gave in 2016 related to her dealings with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein, and which she had fought to keep under wraps.
U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska in Manhattan directed that a transcript of Maxwell’s testimony and other documents be released by 9 a.m. EDT (1300 GMT) on Thursday.
I may have mentioned it before - this jerkoff was a client of mine for about a year, I hung up on him twice because he was such an asshole, then I dumped him a few months later (probably after the last check cleared). [Universal Hub (Boston)] - Shiva Ayyadurai charges Secretary of State Bill Galvin used his immense influence over Twitter to get the platform to silence him for two weeks at a critical point in his write-in campaign for US Senate mere weeks after he had lost his bid to get on the ballot as a Republican - a campaign he says he was forced to undertake because the state committed "election fraud" - which is, of course, the only reason a household name such as himself could possibly have lost the primary to a nobody from nowhere, like what's his name, Kevin O'Connor.
In a suit filed today in US District Court in Boston, Ayyadurai says Galvin's manipulation of his influence over Twitter violates his federal and state constitutional rights and has left him damaged to the tune of $1.2 billion, which he wants a judge to order Galvin to pay him - after the judge first orders Galvin not to use his oversize influence at Twitter between now and Nov. 3.
According to Ayyadurai, at issue are seven tweets he posted after the primary in which he alleged the Secretary of State's office committed all that fraud by allegedly destroying images of a million primary ballots - in a primary in which only about 256,000 people cast Republican votes. Pretty sure this one gets tossed out on its ass; I only hope the judge awards attorney's fees to Galvin when he wins, in the hope it deters Shiva from more lawsuits in the future.

[BOSTON.CBSLOCAL] A woman charged with assaulting a Vietnam veteran because he supports President Trump was released on $250 bail Monday. Kiara Dudley, 34, was arrested after the weekend incident in Douglas.
The 73-year-old veteran and another person were at the intersection of Main and Webster streets just after noon Saturday with Trump flags and signs. Police said Dudley went up to the couple and "began to berate them with insults" and told them to leave.
As the couple tried to move away, police said Dudley bumped the veteran with her body and then stepped on his "Veterans for Trump" sign. As he bent over to pick it up, Sherlocks said Dudley "knocked him to the ground causing an injury to his finger."
Several people called 911 and Dudley was later arrested.
She’s charged with assault and battery on an elderly person causing injury.
At her arraignment in Uxbridge District Court Monday, she told the judge the man attacked her in the incident Saturday. Dudley was ordered to stay away from the man or her bail would be revoked. She’s due back in court November 20. Yeah. Us 73-year-old Vietnam vets have a distressing habit of attacking homely fat women.

Climate change researchers fly more than their counterparts in other disciplines, says a new study, which suggests that it may undermine their credibility.

[Zerohedge] While Facebook has come under fire recently for its algorithm 'favoring conservatives' - which the company says is due to right-wing figures being 'more engaging,' founder Mark Zuckerberg has donated millions of dollars in nonprofit grant money to "quadruple the number of voting places and massively grow the number of ballots cast in the Democratic stronghold of Philadelphia," according to Just the News' John Solomon.
The donations were revealed in documents produced by the city under a federal court order amid a lawsuit brought by the conservative Thomas More Society. According to the documents, city election officials filed an August grant request to the Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) in exchange for opening 800 polling locations which could add as many as 800,000 ballots cast in the general election.
The number of promised polling places is more than four times the 190 polling places opened during the city's pandemic-affected primary earlier this year, and the promised turnout is estimated to be as many as 120,000 voters larger than the 2016 presidential election, which drew about 680,000 voters. About 80% of the vote went to Democrats in 2016 in the city. -Just the News
"The Office of the City Commissioners understands CTCL's interest in maximizing the number of polling locations and will work to identify over 800 locations," reads the city's application seeking $10 million.
Notably, Zuckerberg donated $250 million to CTCL to help local governments cope with the logistics surrounding the November election during the pandemic - and has added another $100 million in recent days.
Thomas More Society lead counsel Phill Kline has raised the question of election interference - arguing that the grant money is wrongly privatizing a civic election function using grants that are targeting mostly Democratic strongholds.
Kline told Just the News that just $289,000 out of $63 million included in CTCL's top 20 grants have gone to a county Trump won in 2016.

Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.... with Kenes Rakishev, an oligarch from Kazakhstan and a business connection of Biden's son, Hunter.
The telling photo was first published a year ago on a Kazskhstani website dedicated to working against corruption and money laundering, called the KIAR, or Kazakhstani Initiative on Asset Recovery.
According to Breitbart, the photo shows four men. Rakishev appears on the far left. Joe and Hunter Biden follow along in order from left to right. At the extreme right, there appears former Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Massmiov.
Joe Biden has previously declared: "I have never discussed, with my son or my brother or with anyone else, anything having to do with their businesses. Period."
The photo appears to have come from a meeting at Cafe Milano restaurant in Washington DC, an iconic dining spot for top US politicians and foreign diplomats. The date of the photo is still unknown as of this writing.
Rakishev claims on his personal website that he's an "international businessman, investor and entrepreneur," who is "regarded as one of the most influential businessmen in Kazakhstan," and has "business interests spanning technology, oil & gas, finance, shipbuilding, and metals & mining industries."
Rakishev has previously come under fire for his close ties to the now disgraced regime of Nursultan Nazarbayev ...served as the President of Kazakhstan since the Fall of the Soviet Union and the nation's independence in 1991. Contrary to commonly held belief, there is a difference between Kazakhs and Cossacks: Kazakhs have mustaches. Cossacks wear those great big hats. Or maybe it's the other way around... , an ex-president of Kazakhstan.
Suspicion had already existed regarding a sum of $142,300 given to Hunter's business partner, Devon Archer. The funds were purportedly for Archer to purchase a car for Rakishev, but no evidence of the car purchase has been evidenced.
