[Breitbart] Texas Governor Greg Abbott is sending state police resources to the City of Dallas in response to a spike in violent crime. The governor responded to a request for assistance from the Dallas Police Department after city leaders cut the police overtime budget by $7 million.
"The rise in violent crime in the city of Dallas is unacceptable, and the Texas Department of Public Safety will assist the Dallas Police Department in their efforts to protect the community and reduce this surge in crime," Governor Abbott said in a written statement. "Every Texan deserves to feel safe in their own community, and the State of Texas will continue to provide the city of Dallas with the resources they need to crack down on this heinous activity and protect Dallas residents."
Governor Abbott responded to a request from the Dallas Police Department to provide direct support in reducing violent crime, the governor’s office reported. The Texas Department of Public Safety is sending multiple resources to help the city that is currently in the midst of a spike in violent crime. Those resources include DPS special agents, state troopers, and intelligence analysts. The additional manpower will be directed at helping support gang and drug enforcement operations.
The DPS will also provide two helicopters and two patrol planes to assist in providing air support. Finally, a team of Texas Rangers is being dispatched to support the city’s homicide division.
The call for help comes after the city cut $7 million from the $24 million overtime budget for the Dallas Police Department in September, the Texas Tribune reported. Instead of keeping commissioned officers on the street to attack violent crime, the city chose to divert funds to hiring civilian workers and improve street lighting.
Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson thanked Governor Abbott for sending in additional law enforcement resources, Fox4 News reported.
"I am grateful for the Governor’s willingness to assist Dallas as we combat the unacceptable increases in violent crime in our city. As I said today, this ongoing situation requires an all-hands-on-deck response, and I will continue to push for strategies and partnerships that will reduce crime in our neighborhoods. The people of Dallas deserve our unwavering commitment to their safety."
"The violent crime in the city is out of hand. I’m tired of it. I’m sick of it," Mayor Johnson told reporters Wednesday afternoon. "This is not a joke. This is not a game. This is not about being on television. This is about ending the needless and senseless taking of lives in the city."
Dallas has experienced more nearly 230 homicides this year — seven in the past 24 hours, local media outlets report. Johnson says the city is set to surpass a 16-year high and has already exceeded the total for all of 2019, NBCDFW 5 reported.
Breitbart Texas reached out to the Texas Department of Public Safety for additional information about the deployment of state resources to Dallas. An immediate response was not available.
It should be "copses", right? The English she is with difficulty.
I don't know the accounting behind this, but it looks to me like the city just saved $7 million by off-loading police services to the state. Not a bad payday for being such dumbasses.

Why would the State send police to where they will be killed or prosecuted if they resist being killed?

Maybe not so much in Dallas, where seven cops were killed in an ambush a few years back

[DailyCaller] Hoover Institution senior fellow Victor David Hanson
...that’s Victor Davis Hanson, actually
predicated Wednesday "massive civil disobedience" against further COVID-19 lockdowns as more restrictions are out in place.
"I’m afraid they’re going to have massive civil disobedience because for them to have credibility ... they cannot be hypocritical," Hanson told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" in reference to Democratic leaders enforcing harsh lockdowns.
"They have to be disinterested. But think of a marquee official, a [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi, a [California] Gov. [Gavin] Newsom, a [Michigan] Gov. [Gretchen] Whitmer. All of these people have violated their own edicts," Hanson said, citing Pelosi’s visit to a San Francisco hair salon and the revelation that Newsom attended a large indoor dinner at an upscale French restaurant in Napa Valley.Newsom has suggested that Californians even wear face masks "in between bites" when dining at restaurants.
Gov. Whitmer has said she is "never going to apologize" for her harsh lockdown measures because she insists her actions saved lives.
Hanson suggested that lockdowns have now entered a new phase when political leaders "say we are going to go into the inner sanctum of a person’s home — so much for your home as a castle — and we are going to start monitoring your behavior in a way we surely didn’t when you attacked state property out in the street in Portland.""They are not going to have a lot of compliance and there’s a slippery slope, I think, that if they can come into your house and say you have to wear a mask. Why not just say — you know — when was your last prostate exam or your breast exam ... " he continued.
"So they are asking the public to obey edicts that they don’t feel apply to themselves and when you apply that to protest, all summer we saw people out in the streets, no social distancing, no mask, no cleanser, spraying and screaming," Hanson noted.

See, that is exactly why we need a 100,000 strong Federal Tracing Department.
What is great about that, is that since quarantine orders are actually executive orders and not law, the Federal Tracers are not actually law enforcement and not subject to such constraints. And if there are legal challenges, they can just be pardoned by the president until such knots and gridlock can be fixed.

Thank you, 746 — that’s the other reason why we put the name of the source in square brackets at the beginning of the text block. With that information, I could have found it myself.
The below appeared in my email Inbox today. It looks to me like they intend to stop Andy Ngo and others, including police and the FBI, who’ve been identifying Antifa/BLM miscreants from the action videos they’ve posted. Also something about monetizing, which suggests to me they want to take for the company the income posters have been earning on the videos they’ve uploaded.
It’s odd that I got this email, since I do not remember signing up for a YouTube account.
Update at 9:45 a.m. ET: Apologies — it was today yesterday, when I posted this. Today I got the email yesterday.
You're receiving this email because we're updating the YouTube Terms of Service ("Terms") to clarify our terms and provide transparency to our users. These changes shouldn't significantly alter your access or use of the YouTube service.
A summary of the changes:
Facial recognition restrictions: The Terms of Service already state that you cannot collect any information that might identify a person without their permission. While this has always included facial recognition information, the new Terms make that explicitly clear.
YouTube's right to monetize: YouTube has the right to monetize all content on the platform and ads may appear on videos from channels not in the YouTube Partner Program.
Royalty payments and tax withholding: For creators entitled to revenue payments, such payments will be treated as royalties from a U.S. tax perspective and Google will withhold taxes where required by law.
Please make sure you read the updated Terms carefully. The new Terms will take effect on 18 November, 2020 for users in the U.S., and similar changes to our Terms of Service will be made outside the U.S. in 2021. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google, Amazon... whatever. Stop whining about their platform and develop your own.
A web server is all you need to post videos on the Internet. That's it, really. Rantburg could host videos. Yeah, the server must have adequate storage, CPU and bandwidth but it's really no more complicated than that.
The Internet needs diversity too, right?

For creators entitled to revenue payments, such payments will be treated as royalties from a U.S. tax perspective and Google will withhold taxes where required by law.
Wouldn't it be up to the individual creator to pay any taxes on royalties when they file with the IRS? Why would this be up to Google to withhold?
[JustTheNews] In affidavits, GOP canvass board members claim they were bullied and say there are too many irregularities in bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... vote to justify accepting election results.
In an extraordinary turnabout that foreshadows possible legal action, the two GOP members of Wayne County's election board signed affidavits Wednesday night alleging they were bullied and misled into approving election results in Michigan's largest metropolis and do not believe the votes should be certified until serious irregularities in Detroit votes are resolved.
The statements by Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chairwoman Monica Palmer and fellow GOP member William C. Hartmann rescinding their votes from a day earlier threw into question anew whether Michigan's presidential vote currently favoring Democrat Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing... will be certified. They also signaled a possible legal confrontation ahead.
"I voted not to certify, and I still believe this vote should not be certified," Hartmann said in his affidavits. "Until these questions are addressed, I remain opposed to certification of the Wayne County results."
Added Palmer in her affidavit: "I rescind my prior vote to certify Wayne County elections."
Both GOP board members said their concerns included discrepancies in nearly three quarters of Detroit's precinct poll books where ballots are supposed to be matched to qualified voters.
"The Wayne County election had serious process flaws which deserve investigation. I continue to ask for information to assure Wayne County voters that these elections were conducted fairly and accurately. Despite repeated requests I have not received the requisite information and believe an additional 10 days of canvas by the State Board of canvassers will help provide the information necessary," Palmer explained.
Their pronouncements come just 24 hours after a chaotic meeting in which the county's election board initially failed to certify the Nov. 3 election results during a 2-2 deadlocked vote when both Palmer and Hartmann voted against certification. But after hours of contentious public comment and criticism -- including Democratic allegations of racism and threats against their safety -- the two GOP members struck a deal to certify the elections in return for a promise of a thorough audit.
Palmer and Hartmann said Wednesday they learned that state officials had reneged or would not honor the audit, leaving them no recourse but to oppose certification until more investigation could be performed.
It was not immediately clear whether the Tuesday night compromise was binding or could be changed, or whether the two members' decision to announce their rescinded votes would stop Michigan state officials from proceeding to name electors.
But both GOP board members said in the affidavits they felt misled and unduly pressured to change their positions the night earlier.
"The comments made accusations of racism and threatened me and members of my family," Palmer said in her affidavit.
The board members' actions were immediately hailed by Phill Kline, head of the conservative-leaning Thomas More Society's Amistad Project, which has been contesting election irregularities in several key battleground states like Michigan.
"I'm pleased Mr. Hartmann and Ms. Palmer reiterated their opposition to the certification of the Wayne County results despite bullying and threats and in the face of broken promises by Michigan's Secretary of State," Kline told Just the News. "Mr. Hartman is properly demanding answers from Wayne County election officials."

So how long until they get charged with Gen. Flynn style perjury - either they lied when they (gave in to threats and) certified or they lied when they rescinded the certifications.

What does the law say about doxxing political opponents in order to get them to change a vote? Sounds like it should be covered by the law somehow yet nobody is talking about that angle.

On the Detroit Free Press site, an article mentioned the Zoom meeting went black, and when it came back the chairman announced the board had voted and it was unanimous. I can't find any reference to this now.
Sounds a bit suspicious, but it could be they simply wanted to conduct their sordid business in private.

[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... ’s campaign has paid $3 million for a recount of two heavily Democratic Wisconsin counties, saying that they were the site of the "worst irregularities," although no evidence of wrongdoing has been presented and state elections officials have said there was none.
Trump paid for the recounts in Milwaukee and Dane counties overnight Tuesday and plans to submit the required paperwork to trigger the recount today, the campaign says in a statement.
In the two counties Trump chose for the recount, Democrat Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened.'... received 577,455 votes compared with 213,157 for Trump. Biden won statewide by 20,608 votes, based on canvassed results submitted by the counties.
"The people of Wisconsin deserve to know whether their election processes worked in a legal and transparent way," says Wisconsin attorney Jim Troupis, who is working with the Trump campaign. "Regrettably, the integrity of the election results cannot be trusted without a recount in these two counties and uniform enforcement of Wisconsin absentee ballot requirements. We will not know the true results of the election until only the legal ballots cast are counted."
[RedState] The Democrat party isn’t exactly known for their biblical knowledge. Georgia Democrat Senate candidate Raphael Warnock is a pastor but despite being a one, still seems to be unable to stop his leftism from being the god he worships and makes bizarre claims that make God fit his world view.
One such is a comment he made in 2011 that recently surfaced where he was telling a congregation that a person can’t serve in the military and serve God at the same time.
"America, nobody can serve God and the military," Warnock said. "You can’t serve God and money. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time. America, choose ye this day who you will serve. Choose ye this day."
The clip was posted by Florida Senator Marco Rubio who dragged Warnock for such a ridiculous claim.
[JPost] - President Donald Trump's election campaign on Wednesday asked a judge to declare him the winner in Pennsylvania, saying the state's Republican-controlled legislature should select the electors that will cast votes in the US Electoral College system.
In a court filing, the campaign asked US District Judge Matthew Brann to considering issuing an order that "the results of the 2020 presidential general election are defective and providing for the Pennsylvania General Assembly to choose Pennsylvania’s electors."
In a sworn affidavit Monica Palmer says she was harassed bullied and lied to by her fellow board
members. Apparently they agreed to an audit and then punked the Republicans by going forward and certifying the results without the agreed-upon audit.

Their lies and corruption are completely exposed for anyone that cares to see. They ARE all in, they realize if Trump prevails they are history. Trump is the sort to seek retribution. Pray for Trump to prevail, our lives and nation depend on it.

Assuming Trump prevails, then, given their behavior in the last 4 years, can you imagine the outright psychotic break the Dems will suffer in the next 4?
[Breitbart] A monitor has reportedly discovered a 9,626-vote error in Georgia's DeKalb County's hand recount, according to Georgia Republican Party chairman David Shafer.
"One of our monitors discovered a 9,626 vote error in the DeKalb County hand count. One batch was labeled 10,707 for Biden and 13 for Trump – an improbable margin even by DeKalb standards," Shafer said. "The actual count for the batch was 1,081 for Biden and 13 for Trump."
According to Shafer, the error, if not discovered, would have essentially given Biden enough votes to "cancel out Trump's gains from Fayette, Floyd and Walton."
"We were limited to 1 monitor for every 10 counting tables and we were kept some distance from the tables. There is no telling what we missed under these unreasonable restrictions. The miscounted batch had been be signed off by two official counters," Shafer continued in the Wednesday update. Now go find the ballots that were disappeared in Republican districts or statistically show large quantities of votes are missing, such as in Floyd County where the counted ballots were only half of the ballots in 2016.

Trump only got 13 votes? Not exactly confidence-inspiring in our election. 13 voters would have been a good crowd at a Biden/Harris rally. You expect us to swallow this shit?

Too late. The Quisling (R) Nevertrumper State AG has said he will certify the audit and the election officially tomorrow, awarding the electoral votes to Biden.
[BREITBART] Former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice said on Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s "Andrea Mitchell Reports" that she was ready and able to serve in a Biden-Harris administration.Mitchell said, "Ambassador Rice, have you been approached by the Biden team? Would you be willing to serve?"
Rice said, "Andrea, you know better than to try to get me into that. I’m not going to get into any kind of personnel issues. I’ve said many times and in different contexts that I’m very glad that we have Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier... and Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, now a senatrix from California former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and Joe Biden's wing nut... coming to the White House. They’re going to bring compassionate, responsible, effective leadership. And if they think I can be helpful to them in any particular capacity, I’m very open to serving."
She added, "But for me, the most important thing is that we are going to have leadership back in the White House that understands that we need allies. We need to act responsibly in the world. We don’t make precipitous decisions without consulting them. We don’t fire officials like Chris Krebs,
...who publicly disagreed with his now former boss, President Trump, about the existence and importance of vote fraud in the current election...
who is a patriot, who did his job and did it very well, under very difficult circumstances, and has more work to do, not just to worry about foreign interference but we’ve had attacks, cyberattacks on our hospitals and health care infrastructure, in the height of a pandemic. We need responsible leadership in the Department of Homeland Security in that role. And we won’t thankfully, after January 20, have leadership that fires people out of spite simply for doing what the American people expect them to do and doing it well."
[DAILYWIRE] On Monday, Burgess Owens, a former NFL player and vocal critic of Colin Kaepernick ...Formerly a petulant quarterback for the San Francisco Giants, now looking for a job. He was willing to stand up for his princles by kneeling during the national anthem, which he had every right to do, but not willing to take the consequences, which he apparently thought shouldn't apply to him... , was declared the winner of Utah’s 4th Congressional District.
Despite running against an incumbent and trailing by 11% in final polling, Owens prevailed in a race deemed a "toss-up" by Cook Political Report, a "nonpartisan" election and campaign analysis group popular among legacy media outlets.
Ahead of the 2020 election, Cook listed 27 races as "toss-ups," meaning they were too close to predict one way or the other. Republicans won all 27.
That’s not a typo. Despite being assured by that conservatism was about to drown beneath an impending "blue wave," Republicans won every single close race.
Republicans also won all 26 races deemed "leaning or likely Republican," and even picked up 7 of the 36 seats listed as "leaning or likely Democrat."
Despite nearly unanimous predictions that Democrats would further cement control of the House, they now hold just a 218-204 advantage, with Republicans poised to pick up more seats, as they lead in 8 of the remaining 13 races.
Republican dominance in supposedly 50-50 districts is yet another reminder of just how wrong polls were in 2020, and how wrong they have been for some time. What should embarrass pollsters most, though, is not the fact that they were wrong, but how one-sided they were in the process.
Across the board, pollsters routinely underrepresented support for Republicans while falsely painting a picture of impending Democrat dominance. Are the American people supposed to think that it’s a coincidence that nearly every time a poll missed the mark in 2020 — which was often — it was in favor of Democrats?

...they thought they had a walk over in 2016 and didn't try. They're never going to let that happen again. See - the Soviet boycott of the Security Council when it voted for intervention in Korea.
The last chance America has in a republic vs the oligarchy is a states convention.
[Hot Air] At first I worried about Republican prospects for the upcoming midterms. Surely, thought I, Democrats would learn a hard lesson on the cheap in 2020. They already have begun discussing how they managed to lose ground everywhere else while winning the presidential election, hinting that their progressive leadership had marched them into a cul-de-sac.
And then I read about today’s leadership elections in the House Democratic caucus. Hope restored!
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and her top lieutenants — Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) and Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) — are all running uncontested, setting the stage for the same power lineup to return for another term after 14 years together at the helm.
Over in the Senate, it's looking like more of the same, although Chuck Schumer's at least a bit more humble about it. The once and future Senate Minority Leader has held two "listening sessions" with his caucus to allow them to vent about what went wrong in 2020, but no one's challenging him either:
Schumer has largely stayed quiet on the calls, giving his colleagues a chance to speak freely without interruption, Democratic senators say.
No one criticized Schumer's leadership directly but there were some comments that were viewed as indirect criticisms of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.
Democratic senators said Schumer has done a good job maintaining relations within the Democratic caucus and keeping the party unified on key votes. Lawmakers said no colleague has offered himself or herself as a leadership alternative.
Not even when decisions like this are laid at Schumer's doorstep?
In particular, there's some second-guessing of the DSCC's decision to back Amy McGrath, a former Marine Corps fighter pilot, to take on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who wound up winning re-election by 20 percentage points, even after McGrath raised $90 million for her campaign.
Basically, Democrats in the House and Senate are incentivizing failure by allowing their barnacle-encrusted progressive leadership to escape any accountability whatsoever. That makes me very hopeful for the 2022 elections, especially after voters get a load of the barnacle-encrusted president they just elected.
[Breitbart] Hundreds of members of the Yukpa indigenous group of Venezuela traveled across the country from their native Zulia state to Caracas, arriving on Wednesday seeking a meeting with socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro but found his repressive police force greeting them, instead.
Yukpa leaders said they made the trip to protest the increasingly dire situation of their people in the face of Venezuela’s economic collapse under socialism and Maduro’s poor handling of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. The protesters sought a meeting with Maduro to demand better access to food, water, health care, and education, reports detailed.
Maduro did not explicitly deny their request for a meeting, but deployed members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) to meet the protesters, who reached the Caracas zone immediately outside of Maduro’s Miraflores presidential palace, which he has occupied illegally since January 2019. The GNB has notoriously repressed nearly every type of protest against Maduro since he took power in 2013, beating, torturing, killing, and allegedly raping peaceful protesters.
Maduro and his socialist predecessor, Hugo Chávez, have for years claimed to be champions of the rights of indigenous Venezuelans, establishing bureaucracies within the government allegedly to address indigenous affairs, assigning indigenous people new holidays, and destroying statues of European icons like Christopher Columbus. Socialism has faced years of intense rejection from the indigenous population in the country, however, which consists of a wide variety of ethnic groups, most in the nation’s west and south into the Amazon Rainforest.
Confrontation on Wednesday night outside of Miraflores reportedly resulted in at least four Yukpa protesters injured and one GNB injured in a bow and arrow attack, presumably by the indigenous protesters. Some reports claim the indigenous group has denied the arrow injury. At press time, the group remains in Caracas demanding access to Maduro, having slept on the sidewalk on Wednesday night. Caracas’ streets are considered some of the world’s most dangerous due to high rates of robbery, assault, and attacks by roving socialist gangs (colectivos).
The Spanish newswire service EFE reported that about 300 members of the Yukpa group traveled from Zulia, the westernmost state of the country along with Táchira to its south, to the far-east capital of Caracas, a voyage of about 500 miles. They reportedly got within 400 feet of Miraflores before Maduro’s police attacked. Shortly before the attack, indigenous leaders said that they had been able to speak to Minister of Education Aristóbulo Istúriz but that they did not feel satisfied that he allowed them to address their issues.
Following that meeting, police reportedly pushed the crowd back to prevent them from getting near the presidential estate. They also denied access to the leader of the Yukpa people, the cacica Sandra Peñaranda.
Peñaranda published a voice memo on the messaging application Whatsapp explaining the situation late on Wednesday.
"We came to demand our rights here in Caracas, since they don’t take us into account over there [in Zulia], it is as if we were forgotten," the audio reportedly said. "So we want the president himself to tend to us because that’s enough of the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples deceiving us."
"The guards here have mistreated us, they are wearing uniforms, and, well, a woman was assaulted, she was sent to the hospital already [but] did not receive medication," Peñaranda confirmed.
The Ministry of Indigenous Peoples is a socialist bureaucratic agency meant to work as a liaison between the president and the leaders of the many ethnic groups in rural Venezuela, which nominally operate autonomously from the capital.
Peñaranda specifically mentioned the overflowing of several rivers in October 2019 that killed seven children and left hundreds of Yukpas with no homes or belongings, protesting that Maduro’s regime never offered any federal aid in response to that natural disaster. The Yukpas have not made any statements specifically condemning socialism or the Maduro regime’s illegitimacy in power, instead merely asking for the government to perform its duties in Zulia. Peñaranda describes Maduro as the "son of our Eternal Commander," using the official title that the late Chávez still boasts.
Journalists on the ground in Caracas reported that the crowd Peñaranda led met with violent resistance once they reached an area close to the presidential palace; the outlet Efecto Cocuyo claimed that some have disputed the claim. No photographic or video evidence has surfaced of the event at press time, though recording any violence in the dark of night would present a challenge, as proven by the poor quality of the photos and videos that have surfaced.
The Maduro regime has not confirmed any injuries, though two independent journalists reported separately that they had information that at least one GNB officer was shot with a bow and arrow. At least one of the four Yukpa people injured was "run over," local media reported, though her injuries also resulted in dispute; the Venezuelan outlet El Pitazo claimed to have made contact with a witness who said a GNB office beat the woman while she was holding a baby.
